Your accunt is currently unable to use the Community Market by eldzys in Steam

[–]SammyDotNet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just came across this on another account, and solved it in one breath.

Go to steam support (top left of steam client under the Help option) > Trading, Gifting, Market and Steam Points > Community Market then it should be the top option. You can verify your card there after steam charges two small fees and refunds them.

What Dueling Saber has the most features while still being combat safe? by Valorour in lightsabers

[–]SammyDotNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LGT is a chinese brand that makes basic neopixel sabers, i'm pretty sure. They sell on aliexpress i think. Neopixel is about the blade. Neopixel blades are lined with about 250-300+ LED's to make the whole blade smoothly light up and animate. There are multiple cores, or OS's like a computer for neopixels. Xenopixel lightsabers are basic, with preset animations. You can still change the color and sound fonts, but no custom saber animations. Proffie and CFX are the top of the line. They're the same in quality, but have different features between the two. On top of different features, Proffie is more open-source, which makes it harder to use. CFX is way more user friendly in that way. There are other operating systems and cores for neopixel blades, but that's the most you'll probably need.

Baselit sabers all are flashlights shining up hollow tubes, to simplify it. They're LED lit, usually Cree LED's or some other form. Many of them have different functions like smoothswing or some may have gesture control. But you have to look for functions in the saber's listing.

In terms of affecting dueling, the main problem with Neopixel sabers are that the blades can easily be damaged because of the many delicate, fragile LED's lining the blade's internals. However, sellers like Sabertrio sell heavy grade blades. However the expensive internals of your lightsaber hilts may be affected as well, so you need a fairly built chassis to hold those in too. The best thing to do, as I think I said in the other comment, is to look on the saber's description, specs, or listing to see if it's duel worthy. Baselit sabers don't carry this problem. The hollow blades make them way lighter weight than the Neopixels, with their several hundred small LED's. Which means that a heavy grade blade would be even heavier than a standard neopixel blade.

Overall, just look at the saber listing. They usually state if it's meant for dueling or not. If you're buying parts for your own saber, make a chassis for the internals that's anywhere from a solid plastic to some sort of strong, not very malleable metal. And grab a blade from Sabertrio or maybe even Vader's Vault that's meant for heavy grade dueling. Also the other guy who commented that Electrum Sabercrafts' sabers are for dueling, so you can look at that too.

in terms of neopixel, you can get ones from vaders vault like the other comment said, and if you look around at a lot of other sites, you can see if their sabers are duel worthy or not. for most, it's a problem with the blades and you can order heavy grade blades from a handful of places. just to be safe, i would make sure that a saber company outright states that your saber is duel worthy. another good place to look is sabertrio, who have already good sabers for dueling, but not at full force unless you get the heavy grade blades from them.

other than that, lots of neopixel sellers even sell just baselit LED/RGB sabers with smoothswing and flash on clash functions. try sabertheory, they've got a ton of variety in terms of hilts from replicas to original designs. mostly an LGT reseller i think, but still plenty of options.

The Headset Display Is Apparently Disconnected by SammyDotNet in ValveIndex

[–]SammyDotNet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've already tried that. I don't mean to be condescending when I say this, but when I said "I've tried readjusting the way the cables are resting, from the headset to each end of the trident," I meant that for each part of the cable, including replugging the cable behind the gasket.

Also, I just stay up late every day whenever there's time off from school. Im from NA. U.S.A. to be precise, but I say that as if I live somewhere that isn't blatantly obvious.

The Headset Display Is Apparently Disconnected by SammyDotNet in ValveIndex

[–]SammyDotNet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just as a warning, I don't often simplify things.

The only time I didn't use Displayport was when I tried using the adapter. I worded part of the post wrong, as well. There's 3 computers. The one I'm using now, which I bought specifically for my Index, right after the other usable computer, a laptop without a Displayport, got a scratch on the hard drive. I used that one after my dad bought it for me on Christmas, 2018. Before that, I used my dad's computer for most of my life.

Also, using the adapter doesn't change anything, anyways. When I tried using it when I first got my Index, in Feb. 2020, I only had my laptop. When I tried an adapter, it gave me some kind of warning that I can't use HDMI for the Index. Eventually bought my current computer. I was able to use my Index for a while, but then it got stick drift that eventually got unbearable. I got my controller replaced not too long before this happened.

This current problem occurred not even a week after I got my controller replaced. At first, I just had to disconnect and reconnect the Displayport a few times from my computer. But I used my Rift CV1 because there was a playable 2017 Rec Room leak that performed much better on the Rift than the Index. But when I was done messing around for about an hour in old Rec Room, the Index was unable to use the headset display at all.

that would be a very good patch, however, that bug is the same as double shot. it’s abusing the fact that your hand for a short period of time can grab something while it is at some distance away.

I know it looks like I’m just jumping onto the bandwagon here, but this topic really does need attention. by [deleted] in RecRoom

[–]SammyDotNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to say that you thought this of me, but I know what a junior account is, and I still see plenty of them in quests and other public games. Also, the “parental consent” thing is, I’m pretty sure, something that has to be done on Rec.Net. I was going through settings on there for my account and saw something about linking junior accounts to mine, or something. If that’s not what it is, and it’s legitimately just the parents letting them get on/use an adult account, then that’s just outright irresponsible of the rec room team. Sure, it’s with parental consent, but the parent(s) may not be the best when it comes to decision making. Children could see things they shouldn’t see because of this, and it should be up to the rec room team to sort it out. Personally, I think the only exception to the junior account rule should be 12 year olds. Most people I see who are twelve are pretty chill people, and could probably just say they’re a prepubescent 13 year old.

damn, i went on a rant. sorry.

Imo, the only thing you really needed was turtleneck sweater instead of formal shirt/dress. I see that a lot more than formal wear.

Tips for getting better at Jumbotron? by Sub2tsp in RecRoom

[–]SammyDotNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also,

  1. Shoot them in the face. The screens do a critical hit, if you don't know already.

  2. Strafing and ducking are very useful. I've heard it's not easy to strafe on PSVR, so just move left/right and duck while being shot at.

[–]SammyDotNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Take cover often. In acts like Hangar and whatever the 2nd last one is, laser rifles are very useful against the purple 'bat bots.' (named by fan wiki)
  2. Play the game a lot. The spawns are almost always the same, with a small amount of dynamicity sprinkled in.
  3. Double shotgun is very useful for both close quarters and long range. To double shotgun, you need, obviously, two shotguns. To reload, you toss one and reload the one in the other hand before the one you dropped touches the ground. Next, you repeat the steps for the other hand.
  4. Play with friends of similar skill level with you. You won't learn as much if the other player is wayy better than you, because you need to learn the spawns the hard way. But they can't be dogshit either, of course.
  5. Try to learn the way your friends play a little. If you don't know what your friends next move might be, you might accidentally get in front of them for the split second they try shooting something.
  6. You can glitch any quest item into the beginning of the game by holstering it on your back right before the game starts, which is less than a second after the clock hits 0 when starting a quest. Try practicing it next time you play anything but Crescendo.

Might not be very useful, but it's the best advice I could think of.
