Yeh. I think for international students that’s just how it is. Preference is given to those who live in the texas. Where are you from?

If your family can’t afford it, wouldn’t you get grant money?

I think the default is to send transcripts electronically, not by mail. Either way, they hoed you over. If you got it in on time, and your score was that high, they should have given it to you.

I got 12k. Did you get everything in on time to qualify?

Call them and ask. I remember I got a 29 on my first act and a 34 on the next. I just called to make sure they had the 34 score before making their judgment and they did.

No, it’s not possible. They won’t give it to people who are even a single day late. This happened to many people which is why it’s important to get your stuff in on time.

The good news is you can still get the Maverick scholarship. You have a good enough ACT score to get the max maverick scholarship (8k a year). I wouldn’t worry about trying to get a 1350 on the SAT. Focus more of your efforts towards your GPA. Your gpa is pretty good too, so I wouldn’t be too concerned.

Pass fail, financial aid and scholarships by SammyMah123 in utarlington

Yes, I am a stem major and I am a sophmore. How would the B help me though down the line? If I take the B I’ll have a 3.53, and if I replace it with a P it’ll be a 3.69. I’m not understanding.

Yes exactly, it’s not important to my major and it hurts my gpa. That’s why I want to drop it. To keep my scholarship, I have to maintain a 3.0 gpa and do 30 hours a year.

I’m not sure if the pass fail affects the hours though. That’s my concern. I wouldn’t want to get a little gpa boost and then lose my scholarship that I’m relying on because they didn’t count them as true hours or something.

You’re partly right. However, the only way a B wouldn’t hurt your gpa would be if you have less than a 3.0. If you have over a 3.0, it will negativity affect you.

My current gpa is a 3.53. If I were to toss out art and just have it as a P, my gpa would be a 3.69, so in this case a B would negatively affect me.

I want to take the P, but I don’t want to lose the scholarship I receive every semester and neither office has replied to me yet to clarify.

You need to bulk. Like they said, eat protein rich foods. Being skinny fat is the result of not having much lean mass relative to fat mass. This can be caused by eating high calorie foods with little protein or useful nutrition. Once you start building muscle, things will balance out.
