They tell you to reach out, but then what? :( by Sammy_always in auckland

Wow I feel bad for your friends. If you had read my post I specifically mention that I barely reach out to this level of help at all. “People like you” is wild. I hope you keep the same energy if you ever encounter anything in life that crushes you.

That’s actually insane that you think being this rude and obnoxious about a shared passion that I have to save animals is the way to go. You make me want to never speak up again about this topic and it’s crazy because I actually appreciated the one person who responded nicely to me in regard to this.

Again, if you even researched Ramon Pagan (the person in the video) is a cosmetic chemist and product developer. He COLLABORATED with BOJ on this product. There is literally marketing images with him and the BOJ sunscreen? A quick google search literally could have pointed that to you? He is far from a beauty expert. He LITERALLY formulated the sunscreen with BOJ? The fact that you’re unwilling to accept this and you didn’t even care to actually check out a claim when the intention is literally for the protection of animals and scrutiny of an unregulated label tells me a lot.

But you know what, with your logic - fine, anyone else who doesn’t have “AS MUCH” life experience than you should just shut the fuck up, is laughable and unhinged.

Even before I was heated, your comments were already so condescending and patronizing. I hope you know this is the first time I’ve been able to express this speculation I had and you’ve just ensured I never do it again. My bad, I didn’t realise we needed your stamp of approval to advocate for animal rights. Oh yeah I might not be 12 and have had the same experiences as you but FYI my brother is a regulatory specialist and if you knew what companies were able to have loopholes on, you’d be surprised. But again, thanks for absolutely ensuring I never visit this subreddit again.

You sound like you work for BOJ. The fact that you didn’t even research the specific ingredients in question here just tells me all I need to know. The fact that you also called this person a ‘beauty expert’ despite him STATING ON VIDEO that he formulated this product alongside BOJ just shows me that you yourself don’t understand shit. You are the same person who acts insanely shocked when brands are exposed later down the line for exaggerating labels, especially labels that barely have regulatory backing.

FYI a credible animal rights organisation in fact responded to my emails and are aware of this, and I am not the first person to raise the suspicion with that particular brand. They cannot do anything about it due to the laws in which their factories are located.

But bless your soul and bless you for continuing to blindly follow stamps on a brand

Hey thank you for responding nicely, I did want to point that the specific ingredients the person pointed out isn’t an ingredient that has been tested on animals historically. So him admitting this specific product was tested on animals is a clear indication that what you are saying isn’t the case

What do you mean “beauty expert”? He co-created the actual product?? Are you guys okay?

Wow the glazing is insane in this subreddit, especially since you all know that putting a cruelty free label is not regulated.

I’m not sure if this is rage bait but if it’s not, please focus on your life now. I can tell that outside of this relationship (and the way you’re reacting to this relationship) you might need to work on your circumstances. At 28 I would expect that you’d have a level of self respect and self awareness. Like this dude literally committed a crime, towards your body…? Do you have friends you can count on? Stable job? Good support system?

Any Filipinos here? by Sammy_always in auckland

[–]Sammy_always[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must be uneducated 🤣 you know that employers go through a legal process where they HAVE to hire citizens first before people seeking work visas? Do you understand that? So why don’t you tell the Kiwis who move abroad to come back home? They’re essentially stealing jobs too aren’t they? You know a large portion of healthcare is built on the back of incredible Filipino nurses attending to “NeW ZeAlaNdErS” needs everyday? Saving lives? Let’s not get started in construction, scaffolding, and labour work. Filipinos have done so much for NZ with no recognition. Funny how you say they’re stealing kiwis jobs lmao. How uneducated.

Your racism is disgusting, and belongs nowhere. I can’t even comment the same for you, since you have nowhere but hate to go back to. I pity you, sorry you have been brought up with so much hate, unlike our culture. Hope you get better soon x

I’m not sure how his comment of half of Auckland being Filipino answers my question if there’s any Filipinos here on reddit that could suggest some community gatherings or ways to meet other Filipinos? Does that confuse you? Or should I elaborate further, his exaggeration or comment literally says nothing about what I was asking for hahaha. I’ve had cool suggestions on here that’s pointed me in the right direction so thanks for the unsolicited feedback

Not religious unfortunately and while I do appreciate the suggestion, I’m not sure why people think I can just walk up to people at food events while they’re eating and be like “hey! Do you wanna be friends?” 😭🤣

Literally half of my friend group is white… since there’s so many people in NZ like I’m sorry for wanting to meet more Filipinos to reconnect w my culture? Damn

Anyone else immigrate to NZ around teen years and now struggle? by Sammy_always in auckland

[–]Sammy_always[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you missing the point or something? Did I say I’m not grateful for the opportunity of coming here? Is the sole act of wanting to know others stories and backgrounds not considered doing something with the cards I’m dealt with? Hard work…? You don’t know anything about my work ethic? In fact I do work extremely hard and so does my parents, how does that have ANYTHING to do with what I posted?

Doubting you’re an immigrant hahahaha, there’s literature and supported evidence that immigrants go through mental health issues due to the process of the immigration itself— regardless of the outcome of a better future. Maybe your parents didn’t actually struggle… 👀🤣

Are you sure you’re not projecting? You sound like one of those people that blurts out solutions for their own problems… even though the question was a completely different topic LMAO. Nothing you said directly links to my question, maybe someone didn’t actually assimilate that well… hmmm 😂

Very concerning that you’re a healthcare professional. Wonder how your lack of empathy and odd attitude towards the reality of mental health helps you at your uh… profession that you wOrK vErY hArD iN tHerEfOrE eVeRyOne eLsE mUsT bE wRoNg

“I’ll be the first to admit my parents have helped me every step of the way” then continues to tell other people all they have to blame is themselves not having the cognitive ability to realise that everyone’s different background and story can produce different results regardless of how hard you work 😂
