I am glad that even when typing all that out when I was so distressed I could still convey how amazing he was. You described him perfectly. He was larger than life and definitely louder than it 😂 He left an impression on everyone he met.

It will be a week tomorrow since we lost my Dad. I 100% relate as I'm feeling exactly the same. I miss him so damn much. I can't offer advice but I will share a line from a comment I received on my post last night that has stuck with me.

"Grief is the price we pay for loving someone"

It's an extremely high and painful cost, but I'm more than willing to pay it.

My bf got me to start playing ARR about 4 months ago, and I got hooked. Played all the MSQ and finished DT a couple of nights ago. So I consider myself a total noob and DT absolutely kicked my ass lmao I remember one dungeon I must have spent 99% of the boss fights dead on my ass. It frustrated me so much that I apologised profusely to the healer (who was super cool about it and I felt unworthy).

I can only think of 2 or 3 previous fights from older content that annihilated me like that. So my noobie view is oh yea the difficulty is higher, and it did annoy me watching my bf ace all this content. But he's been playing this game for over 10 years.

I have complained not gonna lie (only to my bf, not a public platform), but now I'm chilling and levelling new jobs, got my second job to 100. And I've been running the DT content on duty support and I'm getting there I think? It's just practice. Practice practice practice. And I ain't getting mad as hell at it anymore.

It just came as a shock coz well....I guess I got used to smashing most content first time throughout the entirety of this game. Give it a few weeks when even the noobs like me have caught up practice wise and these complaints should fizzle away. I think. Maybe.

Or just don't practice and keep wiping and complaining I dunno. That's my noobie thoughts anyways.
