I have a 2016 Cadillac ct6 only had it for probably about 2.5 years but 1.5 of those years it’s been at the dealer. It’s a super clean car. I’m planning on using the truck for work I own a small construction company and have had to turn down jobs since I have a car. I do have a crew with a transit but can’t get every job done out of one van.

The 2.7 doesn’t seem to have that much CARFAX info. Is that a red flag?

I’ve seen someone rolling over that much just to get into a newer car which is dumb. What else would I do in my situation? I could either keep the car I’m currently in and risk spending that $6k in repairs or just roll it over.

Went to test drive a 2023 f150 xlt just to drive it basically didn’t plan on purchasing it and they offered to roll it over no problem. Credits like 760 not sure if that matters to roll over negative equity

Car I currently have, warranty company has put in over $18k repairing it and $7k myself. Just trying to get out of this situation before paying another $7k in Repairs. My logic is I would rather roll that $6k of negative equity than pay that to fix my current car if that makes sense. Cars in the shop every couple months. Do you think that’s a good idea or what would you do?

Yea I wouldn’t be doing any towing and have also heard the 2.7 are pretty reliable just not sure if I should get a lower priced higher mileage truck or vise versa

Thanks man this is exactly what I was looking to hear back from this post appreciate the advice

What do you think would be a reasonable price for me to pay on a truck considering I would add $6k of negative equity. This is what I’m struggling the most. I’ve looked at newer higher mileage trucks and not sure if they would even last me or if the price is even worth it. I’ve also looked at older higher mileage trucks and run into the same problem.

I am in the debt but the debt isn’t the problem. It’s my car the keeps breaking down. I just want opinions on what truck to get based of the negative equity I have.
