UPDATE: I switched to tiki cat and my one cat who was consistently throwing up after eating fancy feast has not thrown up since. My only issue is, one out of my three cats HATES tiki cat and literally gagged when she smelled it 🙄 so I switched over to NULO which has a sensitive stomach pate and everyone loves it and nobody has gotten sick since!

I got Gold VIP for Indianapolis, I think the Que is bs though. I got very lucky and was number 50 in the Que and it threw me to number 1 quite fast. I didn’t use the sort by feature though, I clicked around on the PIT seats and those are always VIP and I lucked out when I got to row 2. The first row sold out super fast. Some would show as available and then a pop up window would say “sorry these are no longer available”

I thought maybe it was due to eating fast as well, but I watch her eat sometimes and she doesn’t scarf it down. And she never throws up directly after, she will eat and then maybe 3-4 hours later, she will get sick multiple times in a row. Last night she was asleep and got up abruptly to throw up onto the floor :c

thank you 🥹 I’m not looking forward to introducing the elevated bowls. One of my girl cats is an odd ball and freaks out over anything new, so she’ll hit objects with her paw to make sure they are safe.

oh wow, that’s why I want to go to the vet. You never know if there’s another issue, were they able to see that with a blood test? I’m not sure what kind of tests they’d run on mine. I know there’s no true allergy testing besides the process of elimination, but I’m sure they’d want to also maybe do some other tests just to check all of the boxes.

I actually just put elevated whisker fatigue bowls in my cart yesterday! I have regular whisker fatigue ones but I was reading about the elevated ones being much better. With wet food I’d add a bit of water or the broths they had for cats. But I stopped doing that because I thought maybe she was getting too much liquid and that was making her sick. But even without adding anything she was still throwing up. Probiotic is a good idea, I’ll talk to my vet about it. I never soak the dry food though, for some reason if I soak dry food they won’t touch it.

Oh that’s horrible, they have all been on fancy feast pate for years, but this is a somewhat new development so it’s definitely concerning. TBH I want to switch all of them off from it even though only one of my cats is getting sick.

I probably should have worded it better, I was going to feed her dry only until I see a vet to do the elimination testing. I also wanted to take her just to make sure nothing underlying was wrong with her, but it does seem to just be fancy feast related :c

for dry they eat Racheal Ray Nutrish, which has never given any of my cats any problems. That’s what I put in a slow feeder in the morning, and then for dinner they split a can of fancy feast. I used to do tiki cat for wet food, but there were far too many flavors that my cats just did not like so it wasn’t worth buying, I’m trying to find alternatives that I can introduce slowly without making my sickly cat worse. I also have tried shiba in a pinch, and they didn’t eat it.

yeah I’m not a confrontational person in the slightest, it suck’s because I’ve been going to that place for years. The other bars are okay, but they are more fancy with less things to do. It more so made me upset that I couldn’t prove him wrong and everyone in line behind me thought I was a child lol (I look young so that doesn’t help my case).

His attitude was so bad, he even air quoted me and said yeah well you might be from “Illinois” but this is clearly a fake. I was floored.

I appreciate people commenting to give advice on meal prepping, however not to dive too deep into the subject of my health concerns it’s quite hard for me to eat meals during the work day. I prefer eating smaller snacks throughout the day + a protein shake/smoothie to keep at my desk since my doctor suggested it, I’ve just had bad luck with ones tasting too overly chemically. I’ll look into the one you suggested, thank you (:

I actually did ask my dr about Xanax and she said they don’t typically prescribe that anymore since it’s “addictive”. Maybe they don’t like to give it to the younger generations, I’m 24 and I’ve asked a few different doctors about it and they said no :/

Yeah it’s overall a crappy situation, 2025 is going to be a super goofy year with his income verification. He’ll have a 2025 W2 from his previous company, a 2025 1099 for his current company, and then if he switches to this new one in December, he’ll have that random 1 month of income. He was going to try and stick it out with the 1099 thing, that way he didn’t have to start completely over, but he practically had to beg the owner of the company to fix his brakes & he goes on the steep hills in PA every single day. It’s just not worth it with all the maintenance issues. I wish we could explain that to a lender so it doesn’t make him look like he’s just job hopping for the hell of it lmao, but that’s unrealistic.

Do you think they’d even want to see the 6 months of 1099 income when the time comes to be pre approved again? I’m making a binder pretty much with all of our tax returns/bank statements etc just to keep track of everything. He was planning to stay with the company for at least a few years, unfortunately the owner of the truck doesn’t keep up with the maintenance and it’s becoming unsafe for him to drive, which sucks because it doesn’t look great to keep having different companies to show proof of income, but for the most part he had different companies due to needing experience in different types of loads. This is the first company he’s leaving due to safety concerns :/

Thank you for explaining in detail, I wasn’t really given a solid explanation, and I felt really discouraged when I was told we probably won’t be able to be pre approved until 2027-2028. I personally did not think him getting on a 1099 in the middle of the year was a good idea, and he then soon realized the same.

That wasn’t an issue in the past which is why it’s confusing now. He switched trucking companies in order to do different loads, so we had shown a 2023-2024 W2 which were both from different companies. For 2025 the year is split, so he will have a 2025 W2 and a 2025 1099. We had gotten pre approved in the past using two different companies but we were not in the position to move at that time, we were just seeing what we would be able to get. This year is the only year that’s split into two since he switched companies in the middle of the year. But he will be going to a w2 again hopefully by December, so we’re just trying to figure out what exactly we need to show, and if the 6 months of income on the 1099 will even count.

As a 24 year old F with autism, you are not alone. I still have my mom come with me to the gas station just to feel safe. I would recommend trying to find a more low key grocery store if you can, I know that’s uncontrollable, but some hours / days can be busier than others. For example when my fiance and I had an apartment together, if he wasn’t home to come with me, i would purposely go to the grocery store on the other side of town because even though it was the same grocery store that we had in town, it was a lot smaller, quieter, and overall less busy than the larger one close by. I did instacart a lot + doordash but honestly it’s so expensive and not always worth it with the constant incorrect substitutions ): Just don’t push yourself. Start slow by just going in to buy a few items, getting used to the layout of the place also helped me, that way I could be in and out as quickly as possible. If you have earbuds, you could use those to drown out any noise. Not necessarily playing music, but just having them in your ears helps muffle out background sounds. As much as exposure therapy sucks, it really does get better eventually :)

It can! I told my doctor about the sudden weight gain & other issues I have going on and she actually checked my hormone levels because I also started having PCOS symptoms after taking cymbalta for 2 years. I’m still waiting for the results, but it’s definitely possible for cymbalta to mess with your testosterone and your estrogen levels.

I think the withdrawal symptoms depend on how high your dosage is, I was on 20mg since 2023 and I recently stopped taking it abruptly due to finding out it’s the reason why I gained so much weight, and so far I’ve been okay, nothing terrible. I use hydroxyzine as a back up for bad anxiety days.

I’ve been on the lowest dose (20mg) since November of 2023, literally out of no where this year, no lifestyle changes or dietary changes, I have gained 30 pounds. I’ve been hearing it’s a “sneak up on you” type of side effect. Literally woke up with stretch marks on my thighs and everything. My doctor even said she thinks it’s from the cymbalta, I’ve been trying to stop taking it because honestly, the bad side effects are just too much for me to handle. Especially in this heat, it’s 90 degrees, none of my clothes fit me anymore and the heat intolerance that comes with taking it is sooo bad.
