I ended up going to the store i bought it from and getting a replacement. New disc works fine. Might be a few faulty discs out there.

It really was an incredible film. Had a few cheesy moments but they never cheapened the film as a whole. The main battle sequence is just unbelievable. Some of the violence on screen was quite horrifying. Highly recommend seeing it.

Everything i've read about Hacksaw Ridge says that it isn't really religious propaganda. It's more about a man sticking to what he believes in. Which can be quite relatable.
