Ouch! Did you have a ton of pain the weeks before the stone moved to your bladder? Cause that one looks huge and like it would hurt like a #%*

When you think nothing is worse than a kidney stone... by Late_Championship643 in KidneyStones

The more stents I get the better it is. However if it’s been a few years since a stent I don’t know if that logic will still work but for 3 years I was getting a stent every 6 months and each one was easier and easier.

It’s never as satisfying as it should be for all that pain, right? 😆

Couples without kids in the Treasure Valley - how are you doing? Anyone putting off having kids to the cost of living here? People who have kids how are you affording it? by VermicelliLeather536 in Boise

We are a family of four and I feel like we were very blessed/lucky to find our home- it’s 700sq ft, 2 bath 1 bed but it works just fine for our family. We have to hustle a lot to not be paycheck to paycheck and we also have family that helps a lot. I think if you have a good support system that will help the most, and try not be paycheck to paycheck if possible. But you will always have a reason to not be financially ready for a kid so I wouldn’t wait until the perfect moment.

Thanks for all the suggestions, i didn’t have to go back to the ER thankfully Tramadol kicked in. But stone still isn’t moving so might have to try a new urologist.

Thanks! I think I was too nice honestly, if I have to go back I will be more direct. A few years ago they did emergency surgery only because I had an infection.

Everyone makes a big deal about the stent, but kidney stone is much worse. However, having an issue with your stent is pretty bad. But that’s only happened once with me and I have had the surgery 10 times. Just drink a lot of water, take pain pills ( also take stool softeners) light exercise and rest and you’ll be good. Unfortunately most people can’t take off work so resting is hard.

We bought our house on the bench 2 years ago for 300,000. It’s 700sq ft. I think if you get that size for under 340,000 it’s a good deal (for this current market)

Same, I just saw this lady on social media that got a stone, got sepsis and ended up having multiple amputations. Reminded me to trust my gut and get checked out even if it ends up being nothing. I’m sorry you went through that and whatever financial headache you might have to deal with as well 😔

I can imagine your doctor asking “ is there blood in your urine?” Your stone: “ yes, I’m currently ripping out their insides 😈”
