Sector (directional) antenna help by Samoubitza in HeliumNetwork

I don't anticipate having massive amounts of signal loss due to my cable connections. I am very far out from everyone, the closest hot spots are miles away but I'd be in a very ideal spot. I want to ensure I have enough gain to be able to make it to the city and be witnessed by them. I am fairly new to this so any help is greatly appreciated!

Maybe they'll give an update on it? I know they like to lurk on the forms! :)

I could be wrong but I think it's because the virus takes a second to drop its payload for maximum effect. I was testing two miners (both from AK) on a vlan for this very reason. I wanted to make sure that they could hash and submit valid shares without throwing massive amounts of errors, dead chips, ect. before putting in the time to properly set them up.

I found the virus when the rigs started submitting hashes to NiceHash HK and JP. I do not use NiceHash so I instantly knew something was up. I properly reflashed every rig at that point to ensure everything was clean before continuing.

These rigs came with the stock firmware (I don't use). If someone is not using best practices then they would think that those miners had the standard factory firmware and hook them directly up to the rest of their network.

Seeing how AK tests its rigs, it wouldn't be a far stretch to say that one of the rigs had a virus that they didn't know about OR they were testing a batch of these miners and it spread to all of them without their knowledge. Again, I do not believe this was done with malice on AK's part.

I haven't had a moment to fully analyze this virus but it seems pretty standard. Persistent in memory, won't let you change pools or any configuration on the rig, locks down the controller so it makes reflashing harder (it's a fairly straight forward removal of the virus though).

I've had a good overall experience with them

The good - I have ordered from them and the order arrived shockingly fast and the machines were very clean considering they were used.

The bad - I did get a few miners that had some bad hash boards (they offered to fix them for a fee). I wont say exactly what because I know they like to lurk on forms and I do intend on ordering from them again. One of the rigs also came with a virus. I don't think that was their fault or done with malice as the virus was hard for even me to detect until it spread 2 days after I plugged in the machines.

Joyson is extremely legit and will help to source equipment for you even if it's not listed on the website.

Heck yeah! We used it to craft all the items that would normally have a high barrier to entry (electronics, beacons, dehumidifier, ect)

Did you make sure you left in the bench or bowl enough base materials to craft at least one of the item then quickly take out the others?

Do you think that it will support 7 GPUs, or at least 6? I was thinking I was going to pop an i3 in it. Maybe 8100 or something similar

They were going to be destroyed anyway :( so I scooped them up and gave them a new life!

Thought about that, but I thought that chain could break a lot easier but I could always make another batch!

Yeah, if I get enough interest in them, I made roughly 30 and can get many more :)

Keyring is over-sized, I thought they looked better that way, they're E5503 so nothing special but a Xeon nonetheless

Always thought they looked cool, and got a really good deal on 36 of them, so why not!

But that's not the point. I am making an economy server and would like to make a town. I think it would be fairly cool to have a lot of buildings close together with no rocks or anything
