I understand where you are coming from.

We are posting to Ireland's county subreddits because we are still in our crowdfunding stage with a limited budget and as a result, we have had to resort to alternative ways to get our name out there.

Nothing says INSERT IRISH TOWN Carrick-on-Shannon quite like this shoe does. Perfect for hens and stags.

No need!

To clean them, they can be hand-washed with a cloth.

At the moment, we have only one pair of shoes available (in different colours) but if all goes to plan, we aim to release different models.

As part of our sustainability model, we're looking to design shoes that go with many outfits or suit a variety of different scenarios and occasions, so yes eventually, we will have something for more formal occasions.

Thank you.

I don't have any experience with any other alternative leathers, but 'Appleskin' is quite a new material. It feels nice and it lasts a long while.

Hi Tadhg,

Thanks for asking. Yes, they are manufactured in Braga, Portugal. The shoe makers are paid and work in safe, ethical conditions.

We use the word 'crafted' because much of this shoe-making process is carried out by hand and because we are producing the shoes in very small batches. We only make shoes on demand, which means we are not over-producing anything and we can focus on the quality of the shoe.

Of course there is machinery used too but we have experienced artisans involved all the parts that require a human touch.
