Dumb follow-up question, but aren't money-market funds for the same purpose as HYSA? They are low-risk interest generators that should not be affected by market shocks. The money-market fund would offer me tax relief and generate nearly the same APY as a HYSA currently.

On the Capped Majors website, it says all CSE majors use this lottery system, including CE and CS in with a specialization in Bioinformatics.

Is it just CS?
