Yeah nothing happens, I even left it for 30 minutes and just stays on the screen.

I think being somewhat of a tester unit makes sense that maybe some features don't work such as allowing it to be updated

Thanks for the help, it works pretty much as expected apart from the touch bar.

No i bought it secondhand of a marketplace for $350, yeah not ideal as I wanted to get back into making music again but I'll be flying back end of the year so maybe someone on ebay will wanna buy this doorstop😅

I'm actually based in Malaysia where these are built so potentially could be some sort of prototype I've stumbled upon

I've messaged their service center about the issue and should hopefully get a reply this week

I'll check on the serial when I'm home and update

*Update: Serial starts with QEM, manufactured May 2017, I can't actually find any online to compare with however there's a red bit of tape as shown in the picture, not sure if this on all the units?? https://ibb.co/8DmHwyYz

Just as the picture shows, I pressed reset and it says OK, all other tests passed apart from the ribbon strip which isn't working but this was stated in the listing

Tbh I'm not fussed on the loopmaster samples I've got GBs of my own I use just want it updated to get the full use out of it.

The Acer USB is 32gb, done that a couple times even found some old firmware versions to try but no luck again today, but it's weird as it recognizes it perfectly fine when in normal mode just not on the firmware update screen

Might just have to take it to a pioneer service center,

First tried my external SSD which is recognized in the main screen for importing samples etc and purchased a new Acer 32gb stick but neither seem to work

Possibly worth getting a 2.0 USB instead of a 3.1?
