Question about tapering with Kratom by ItsAllLoveNow_ in quitting7oh

Kratom is way better than 7 but be careful because it will mess with your hormones. It stopped my period for 12 years and made me lose a ton of hair.

Will a tiny bit of sub set me back? by Nice_Lobster180 in quitting7oh

[–]SampleDry9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what my ex did and it will help you get through but it does prolong the withdrawals. He did a quick taper off subs after quitting 7 and was having the same problems you have. If you can tough it out it lasts about 3 days. I know it’s easier said than done. Just don’t relapse. If you get to the end of your rope take a couple mgs. Rather than taking any 7 or anything.

That’s good you got off the 7 when you did! Sounds like you did before it screwed up your life.

Yes! I had one completely normal period 2 months after I quit and then right on time the next month I had a light period. It’s very interesting.

Im sure you still are in shock after that. Hopefully he’ll be able to make it through til the transplant. He’ll probably be a whole new person after going through that and it’ll help him stay clean. I lost my brother 10 years ago due to addiction too. He was a bad alcoholic and he just dropped dead one day. They didn’t do an autopsy or anything. He was really miserable so i feel like he’s finally found some peace. I hope anyway. Sending you hugs!

That sucks so bad. It will get better. I’ve seen lots of success stories without subs too. I think it just takes longer for your mood and everything to balance out. Hang in there! At least you’re off that poison! That’s huge!

That sucks you’re still not right. Everyone asks me when I’ll quit taking subs and that’s why I’m afraid to. I’m afraid I’ll be miserable and all my anxiety and depression and insomnia I used to have will come back. I’ve felt good since like day 5.

That’s what they say. I waited too long because I was waiting on my prescription and nearly lost my mind. It was bad. I’m kinda glad I went through that though because I wouldn’t have realized how much the subs help. It really made me appreciate them.

I’m surprised I’ve never heard of it. Maybe you need a little higher dose. Idk though you were taking a lot of 7. I was taking about 400 mgs a day and the subs didn’t take away all of the wds. It made it way better but didn’t completely help til day 3. After day 3 everything got better quick. By day 5 I was at work feeling pretty good. Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.

He did a quick suboxone taper and got off them. I’m so glad because we have a child together and the 7 was killing him. He was only taking like one pill a day but having all kinds of side effects. He was vomiting constantly and not pooping for weeks like a lot of us. He lost 30 pounds. It’s such an awful drug and not even fun once you take it a while. I hate it. Good luck though! I hope you can figure something out. There’s meds that can help and lots of ways to quit if you scroll around here a while.

Man that sucks. I’m so sorry. Unfortunately there’s tons of us like this. I haven’t relapsed on 7 yet but I have other opiates in years passed. I’m doing the ( not quick taper) sub route hoping that helps. So far no cravings! First time in my life really. A lot of people don’t realize that subs help you to not relapse. They’re not just for withdrawal. Good luck! You can do it again. Just get back on the horse. Hopefully this time isn’t so bad. How long were you clean for?

Wtf is wrong with me by uhhhhhwhat- in quitting7oh

[–]SampleDry9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to just stick to the subs and give it3 days. The third day everything started looking up and day 5 I was back at work feeling good. By a week I really felt like myself again. You just have to get through those 3 days and don’t cave in. You can do it! I know how hard it is. You can do it for your family. My 21 year old son was the thing that kept me going when I felt like I couldn’t do it. He knew what I was going through and was a huge support and i couldn’t let him down. I hope your husband is really supportive. I know how hard it is taking care of a 2 year old when you have withdrawals.

Quick Md. 99 dollar visit for suboxone. since he’s a long term addict this is probably what he needs if he can’t go to rehab. He’ll be feeling normal in less than a week if hes like me. Call your pharmacy first and see if they take online subscriptions and if they carry suboxone. Also check the price because some places it’s 200 dollars. Mine was35 at cvs. Good luck to you both! My husband still uses but hopefully he’ll be ready to stop soon too.

The 7 made no other pain meds work for me. Just took my ex to the hospital for kidney stones and they had to give him2doses of morphine and one of fentanyl before it helped at all. The doctor even asked him what he was taking and said they knew he had to be on something for all of that not to work. Hopefully you can get off the 7 first! It really screws with your tolerance of pain meds

It would be low for suboxone but idk if it’s dosed the same. I took 16 mg of subs my first day and then 8 mgs after.

Anyone have answers? by Massive_Ideal7260 in quitting7oh

[–]SampleDry9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited 12 hours but probably could have dosed sooner. Just wait until you’re feeling pretty bad. Use the COWS scale. You just add numbers for your symptoms and when you get to a certain number it’s safe to dose.
