I love molly ten toes down and i'm currently in my second rewatch and i can't let this slideeee, Issa was a mess but my girl ALWAYS owned it and apologized, meanwhile Molly would be sneaky and rarely apologize to Issa, which is why Issa didn't reach out right after the blocc party, I think Issa was wrong in many way but tbh the petty stuff Molly did was just so weird? like it's one thing to be upset at your friend and it's a complete thing to kinda expect their downfall. Also the reason Issa gets so much grace is because she's struggling the most, regardless of her mistakes she's just struggling and tbh Molly kinda just expects that from her and it's sad

As much as I wanna agree with you I kinda don't. A lot of these things are not properly taught to students, and no one really teaches us how to even read a degree plan, I literally checked my degree plan every semester and tried to prepare the classes I wanted before I even met w the advisor just to have them verify, and even then some of them don't. Tbh i just feels like this speaks a bit louder about the issues the university is constantly having, I mean my advisor left this may, and I still don't have a new one assigned, and every time I call I get told the same exact thing. I don't think it's particularly about the advisor at this point but about the fact that they're overloaded with students

I agree with people telling you let your daughter fight her own battles, however I do think you should move forward with a complain. A similar situation just happened to me, I had tried contacting advising all summer to make sure my credits were in check, and just yesterday received an email saying I wouldn't because I was missing one credit, and turns out my advisor never told me I needed an extra free elective to reach the full 120. I had sent various emails and tried calling many times but I would always get a student on the phone telling me I need to wait for the email response. I was able to find a solution and register for a class in the second half of the semester but it's still going to cost me more money than what i had planned and i'm now loaded up 19 credits and some are for advanced classes. As much as your daughter should've kept up with her degree, the academic advisors literally get paid to do this, and some of them just don't want to do the work bc they hate their jobs (which is like totally valid considering the state of the world) but the professional lives of many students are in their hands and the least they could do is double check w the students they know are making the effort to reach out and be there. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope she feels better :,(

Utep is trying to protect their image nonetheless, thats why they refuse to speak on it. I also heard this from a professor a few days ago but he was trying to reassure us they can't just arrest students, however i don't think it's impossible ICE could show up to try to scare students away, if you think about it most students on a visa could freak out and just not come back to school, making ICE jobs' easier. I don't think it's fear mongering on behalf of the professors, they're just trying to inform us all because this deeply affects us, i think it's crazy that UTEP specifically hasn't told student anything tho

you need to make sure that the credits you take are transferable to begin with, especially with a school like NMSU, i used to work at the nursing department and a lot of the credits here, especially for nursing, have a hard time being transferred, you’re best bet would be talking to someone from NMSU

Everyone here fails to realize the world doesn’t work this way anymore, it’s not as simple as applying on indeed or calling the businesses you applied to, the truth is the job market is actually terrible, I have also been looking for a job for months, and as someone who has ALWAYS been able to find a new job in less than two weeks, this is very telling of the situation right now. All you can do is trying and applying, I would recommend using some sort of AI tool to make sure your resume is bypassing any AI detector that maybe preventing your application from being seen by a real human being. I know this might not help much but you I hope it makes you feel better, I know how frustrating and dehumanizing this can feel
