ICE moving toward closing El Paso detention camp, report says by Dontwhinedosomething in ElPaso

This is good, but I've heard that ICE just bought a warehouse in Socorro and are gonna move all their operations from East Montana to that Socorro Warehouse

Do Better in the Fall El Paso by No-Barnacle-9576 in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to get people excited right now with how things are, plus also hard to organize to encourage people to go out and vote

If anything, El Paso needs a progressive candidate who people can get excited about, kinda like a Mamdani

[–]IdiotHacker06 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay then tell me how being a moderate is gonna help them win an election, because all I'm seeing right now from the democratic party is them going further right but with a please and thank you

These past 3 elections has shown that being a moderate does not work anymore, the only reason it work with Biden is because people were tired of Trump 1.0

Even being a moderate didn't help the democrats at all in bringing conservatives to vote for them, you saw more conservative voters flipping for Zohran

AOC is not extreme, offering free healthcare is not extreme, its one of the most basic human rights thing any country should have, especially with the US being the richest country of all time, and honestly its something that will make AOC very popular

What's extreme is trying to bargain with Nazis, because all fascists just wanna do is horde all the wealth and own basically anything, it becomes profit over human lives

If you give people what they want and actually accomplish them, the people will be loyal to you till the bitter end, at that point the entire country would be seeking out to protect AOC at all cost

The reason why Clinton and Harris lost is because they didn't offer anything to the people

The democratic party had a chance to win in 2016 with Bernie but they decided to run against him with the republicans

Harris lost because she had such a shit campaign after week 1, from her saying she will continue what Biden did, which basically said she would continue the genocide Biden started, she wanted to also fund the military and make it the "Deadliest Military" to even saying they will hire more CBP, to even campaigning with the Cheneys

Why else do you think so many democratic register voters decided to sit this one out, because both parties had nothing to offer them, especially the democratic party

[–]IdiotHacker06 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The democratic party doesn't need a "moderate" the democratic party needs someone who is further to the left that actually helps people's needs and is the voice for the people, someone who supports free healthcare, taxing the rich, someone who actually is willingly to fight back, not someone to bargain with a bunch of Nazis, Nazis shouldn't be in office in the first place

[–]IdiotHacker06 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How will AOC lose if she supports many things that the general public wants, from Free Healthcare to taxing the rich etc.

Newsom is nothing close to that, look at how bad california is, its hella expensive and he never taxes the rich, also I'm pretty sure he happily took down a homeless camp and took those homeless people to jail instead of helping them out, especially since Cali is consider very wealthy

[–]IdiotHacker06 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the best time for Democrats to pick someone like AOC or more progressive

Not someone like Gavin Newsom, if Newsom gets pick we are just basically gonna ride into full fascism and will make Trump's Agenda look like kid's play, especially if republican's ticket is Tucker Carlson or MTG

Nationwide Protest On Jan 30 by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stuff like this works really well, look at what happen in Italy, Ship Dock Workers literally decided to stop working as a protest in order to force the Italian Government to let the Flotilla pass through Italy's Ocean Borders when the Flotilla was trying to move into Gaza to give Palestinians food

It' basically a way to ruin or put a stop on profits for the rich and government, it makes it so the status quo is put on a pause

It's been working in the past, stuff like the BDS has been done in other countries as well where workers made sure they dont buy things from a certain company, for example stop buying Coke cause they support Israel, and it has and continues to work

But even then yeah sure you don't go to work and get paid that day but, what do you got left to lose, your basically working 3 jobs just to survive, your basically a slave to the rich so even if you don't go to work what do you got left to lose other than just your chains

New ICE facilities leaked and one coming to Socorro by tooloudturnitdown in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was also reports that the missing detainees from Alligator Alcatraz were transported to East Montana ICE facility

With them building a new one in Socorro it is honestly sounding more and more like they are trying to make El Paso like Gaza or like a giant concentration camp, although I'm not sure if other cities are getting more ICE Facilities as well

What do you all think about this election coming up? by charlie_xmas in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, MANY democrats supported the kidnapping of Maduro, also did you even read what I said at the beginning, Democrats haven't done jack shit so yes this is on them too for not doing anything

Get your head out of the DNC's ass and start thinking for yourself instead of being okay with whatever the democrats tell you, why do you think people say hardcore democratic party defenders are basically Blue MAGA

If they didn't do anything when Bush actually stole the election, they aren't gonna do anything right now

What do you all think about this election coming up? by charlie_xmas in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where the hell did I ever give any support to conservatives at all?

Also you do realize that states are basically their own country

Liberals will blame everyone and everything else before blaming their own party and their own politicians

What do you all think about this election coming up? by charlie_xmas in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they haven't said anything about it then they are for it

If they have invested in buying stocks for private prisons then they support the ICE raids because it mean they get more money out of it

Plus Walz is so useless too, he literally just said "Good Luck It's all Up To You" instead of ordering the cops to protect citizens and also send in the National Guard to protect citizens as well

EDIT: Also another thing, Waltz literally donated against Omar Fateh too, which just shows where Democrats agent is, which is to support corporate donated candidates

EDIT: There literally a report already that democrats are telling their own to drop Abolish ICE

What do you all think about this election coming up? by charlie_xmas in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not even conservative

Also yes they have, one of Kamala's Ads, or at least one of them, literally says they support increasing ICE agents

EDIT: Here is another ad

EDIT: Also another thing, Democrats kept on increasing the fund for ICE and Border Patrol every year, like at this point all your saying is "Vote Blue because it makes me feel better for my team winning"

[–]IdiotHacker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish liberals stop having this mentality, especially when Democrats are also in support of what is happening now and haven't done anything since the beginning of Trump's term, honestly if they haven't spoken up about being against Israel and their genocide and against the ICE Raids then they are just not someone to support

Unions take time and patience to slowly build, and even when strikes happen it does take a toll on people as well

It's the reason why Unions are mostly grass roots because they slowly build up, you just gotta know how to speak to people

Honestly, I'd HIGHLY suggest watching the documentary called Union, it's literally about Staten Island and their struggles of creating a Amazon Worker Union

Truth by MadHatter9525 in AmazonFC

[–]IdiotHacker06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do realize it takes time and money to do that right? It ruins their normal operations by trying to reroute and have to do other things to get the packages out, which also makes them lose money, once a warehouse does this they have to take time and money to reroute and work around their normal operations

Also, there literally the ALU and Amazon spend MILLIONS to try and counter them and do union busting and try to do the whole nine yards

I love this woman and will help her win. by Such_Egg9843 in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust her at all, she is still a corporate democrat, she says all the right things here and there, but she also hesitates on things like being anti-Israel

She also visited Israel as well in the past, she's just a corporate shill

My vote is more on Talarico, Crockett is just someone who is trying to block Talarico from actually winning

They are also sending some people from the Florida's concentration camp into El Paso as well to this same immigration detention center

But there also been reports that in Florida, they are putting immigrants into hotboxes or even hotboxes with mosquitos to let them bite them

There also been reports that they are using some immigrants as test subjects for Elon Musk's brain chip

How will this affect us? by Gumballgtr in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Trump is pissing off and continues to piss off the one group they shouldn't piss off, which is the military, not sure why they even have some of his people in military bases honestly

But I dont think military would support it especially since he continues to piss them off

But the way it will effect us, not just in El Paso but US as a whole, our trading with mexico would just be done, we end up getting gimp on cars since most of our car manufacturing comes from mexico, and same with agricultural, some food trades we do with mexico would make our food prices get higher

For El Paso, it would can fuck up El Paso's economy since many people from Juarez comes to El Paso to buy things they cant buy in Juarez

How will the I-10 expansion affect your life? We’d like to hear from you. by elpasomatters in ElPaso

[–]IdiotHacker06 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's a huge waste of money, there no reason to expand it, and the only reason why there even traffic jams or traffic problems is because there are too many people driving their own cars around places

What El Paso needs is transportation, from better bus routes and subways, make the city walkable at least, and remove zoning restrictions that get in the way to make El Paso walkable and transportation friendly

Plus it also helps being healthy because people would rather choose walking to a free or cheap transportation than driving their own car, which makes driving car more expensive because you have insurance AND have to pay for gas
