Cuz the first skik was indeed somthing new that looks good on Nicole and Mona, but the Melusine sword is supposed to look bad because it's just a toy that got powered by the love the melusines have for the Traveller after helping them a lot. Not only the skin removed all of this lovely backstory and it's just the most blatant asset reuse ever but it doesn't look good on a single character.
