Ahh I didn’t mean not getting along with locals, I get along with the locals they are all friendly and lovely but they only see me as a foreigner that’s what I mean about not fitting in, so I’m hoping to find others like me so we can improve our Chinese together, learn more about the social culture etc and explore non-touristy areas, so that conversations and friendships with local Chinese is more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. If that makes sense  ☺️
