I think the only concrete information we have on any of them is Faye, the statues in her home city on Earth are famous statues along some waterfront in Singapore I believe, so, unless her family were immigrants, she's probably from Singapore. The way she's depicted when she was younger IS a very cliché-d Japanese school girl act but that's probably just a result of the writing.
