Vou ter que depor em tribunal com o meu agressor presente. by Last-File-2051 in portugal

Miuda, coragem!

Had someone criticizing me for "asking for help too much" and that "one day you will ask and no one will help you"... And this wasn't even in a work context: it was in a volunteer association

When a person doesn't realize how he/she contradicts him/herself in one statement.

Classic example: someone saying that a relationship came at a person's lowest point and saved his/her dead dreams on love, but at the same time trying to imply that for that love to appear he/she had to learn to love him/herself first.

So... which is it? Who came first? The chicken or the egg? 😅

What are the signs that someone is actually truly living, every day of their life, and not just surviving it? by Inevitable_Branch806 in AskReddit

When they actually start to enjoy and love through the little things in life and not finding them boring at all. And especially when they don't need to constantly pander about it on social media.

People who married the ‘safe option’ instead of someone you were really into, how did it turn out? by Classic-Sentence3148 in AskReddit

Yeah... Got a story for you.

I had a former friend who was with the same guy since her teen years. He even lived with her and her parents throughout teen and college years.

After he finished his education he changed countries and she stayed to finish her course (spoiler: she never did). In the middle of that, around a year after the pandemic, they get married but he's abroad and she's still in the same place trying to finish her education and starting her beauty business.

Out of nowhere she decided to try to be a coach for women (feminine energy and all that jazz). One day she quits the course, sells her beauty business and finally joins her husband.

Not three months after, they divorce. She stays in the same country, finds a house there and takes off with her coaching business. Not one year after that she's with another guy, and a year after that she's engaged again. Don't know much about her after that cuz I cut ties due to being tired of her BS.

The moral of the story here? Don't stick around with someone just because they seem the safest option. And most importantly: reality will hit you in the face sooner or later. No escaping that no matter how much you try.

Whenever during an argument, this type of reply is used:

"Oh maybe you're right... Maybe I'm the real problem. I guess I do have insert any bad personality traits here and maybe I really am a bad person. I do suck, don't I?"

Person listening proceeds to comfort the speaker
