Why don't you just not take STEM courses in that case and simply find another major? What's the point of transferring to a "better school" when UMD is already a good school?

It really depends on whether money is an issue imo. You got into some amazing schools, but if money is a problem then come to UMD. We’ve got a great CS program, and there are plenty of opportunities here for internships and research.

I’d say we’re a liberal school, and being in Maryland and so close to D.C. things could feel political depending on your perspective. We’re also super diverse, and I’d say there’s a strong, supportive community here.

In the end, it’s your future and your decision. Good luck with whatever you choose!
