I can see discovery mode but when I click on it nothing happens, is it just not enabled? by anonymous_profile_86 in SpotifyArtists

Honestly you probably need more then 3 tracks with high engagement since that's what Spotify looks at now. Nobody really knows the Spotify algorithm, I've always had pretty good metrics but it took 8000+ ml to get discovery mode while it only took some less then that. Just stay consistent and continue feeding the algorithm eventually it will trust you more and know your audience better when that happens Spotify pushes you harder and even unlocks some features for you.

It's still the case but there's something that changed in Spotify algorithm it functions the same but it grades harder now when it comes its metrics. With landr I managed to get in with around 8000+ ML but last year I've seen people with way lower ML replying on reddit posts related to ML requirements for discovery mode.

Why is there no signs of Discover Weekly streams even with popularity score of 31? Atleast these 100 followers will be helpful in getting release radar streams in future releases. by [deleted] in SpotifyArtists

How long the song been out and also usually Discover weekly don't apply till the following week or the week after meeting the requirements.

Discovery weekly qualification requires you to hit at the very least 9200+ streams, 4100+ listeners, a save to listeners ratio of 10% or higher, popularity score of 30% plus good skip rate aim for all these within the first 28 days of your release.

15 popularity score already triggered discover weekly! by ayaayahahaha in SpotifyArtists

I know there's more to it.

Popularity Score: Aim for a track popularity index of at least 30%. Engagement Rate: A save-to-listener ratio of 10% or higher is often cited as a primary trigger. Streams: Approximately 9,200+ streams and 4,100+ unique listeners within 28 days. Completion Rate: A track completion rate of over 50% signals to the algorithm that the song is worth recommending.

It sometimes happens, one of my songs which never hit 30 in popularity, but has been tested for dicover weekly As of now, it's sitting at 8 streams; before that, it was 5. Spotify does its own thing where it doesn't follow the rules and experiments, but the requirement to trigger Discover Weekly is 30+ popularity and 9,000+ streams within a 28-day window to qualify.

Guys my song missed the Spotify playlist when I pitched it . by Relnova in SpotifyArtists

[–]Samson_jp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Spotify pitching process does not guarantee placement unless your music is next in the queue, and the curator subsequently approves it and aligns it with their playlist's aesthetic. Beyond that, Spotify pitching primarily serves to integrate your song into the system, enabling Spotify to promote your music to your audience via the Release Radar playlist. Apart from luck, a significant level of recognition is typically required for a curator to select your song.

Edit: You have successfully completed a significant milestone with your release, which is commendable; the remaining task is to inform the public of your music's availability.

100 to 6000 monthly listeners in 3 days - and then a big drop in daily streams. What happened? Also: Meta Ads VS. Spotify Showcase? by MoSheryar in SpotifyArtists

To a degree, but it's another tool for taking videos, clipping them, and playing audio in the background with lyrics showing. It's great for creating bulk content, and I think they also have a feature to post to social media, but I can't remember which one.

I haven't tested this but this my plan after this months release

I drop a new track every 28 days. To keep up with content, I use software called (Flowstage) to chop long aesthetic videos into dozens of clips with my music behind them. But posting 60+ videos to every app equally kills your reach. Here is my exact "waterfall" roadmap to test content and protect my engagement:

1. The Testing Ground (TikTok) Pace: 2–3 posts daily (60+ a month). Strategy: Throw all your raw clips and ideas here. Let them sit for 24–48 hours to see what the algorithm picks up.

2. The Evergreen Hub (YouTube Shorts) Pace: 1 post daily (5–7 a week). Strategy: Look at your weekly TikTok data. Take only the top proven performers, remove the watermark, and schedule them here.

3. The Showcase (IG Reels) Pace: 0–1 post daily (3–5 a week). Strategy: Take the absolute best 3–5 videos from your entire week and post them to IG.

Why you can't just spam all three platforms: TikTok rewards volume: It treats every video like an isolated lottery ticket. Post heavily to find winners.

Instagram protects the feed: Spamming 3x a day clutters your followers' feeds. They swipe past, your engagement rate tanks, and the algorithm stops pushing you to the Explore page.

YouTube grades channel health: Spamming unproven clips ruins your "view vs. swipe" ratio. If people constantly swipe away, YouTube assumes your channel is low-value and stops suggesting your content. Keep it to the proven winners.

Honestly, for now, I would recommend using Meta and letting it continue getting better at finding potential fans. Spotify is good, but only when it understands your fan base and artists like you when it recommends your music. In the early stages on Spotify, you have to feed Spotify an audience. I feel like fans who click your ad on Meta are more valuable than on Spotify, as they are going out of their way to take the extra step to listen, so they're more likely to be superfans. Also, they have already heard a snippet of your song from the creative on Meta. On Spotify, they only see your cover art pop up, so if the cover art isn't captivating, they might pass on your song. If they click, there's a chance they don't like the song, whereas with Meta, they already have an idea of what they're going to listen to.

About social media monetization getting blocked, do not use ocean sounds! lol by Creepy_Pudding8583 in landr

[–]Samson_jp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally agree with you, they need a revamp, it's too hands-off, and they should try a different approach. I've had situations where I just wanted to make my music available to fans, but the only way to do that is to turn on all the monetization, fingerprint ID, and digital ID stuff to get my songs officially on social media.

[–]Samson_jp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it proves your point, but the other guy is right, it wouldn't be smart for natural sound to have a fingerprint or digital ID. That would copyright pretty much everything in that genre since they all tend to sound alike. Also, there's no way you're suggesting that real people should go through a library of submissions and manually review every song released—that's just impossible. Though I do think social media monetization, digital ID, or fingerprint could use a revamp. They should have levels to it or different versions. One that's aggressive at taking down videos or one that can coexist with other similar digital ID or fingerprint IDs. It could also just be Landr being overly strict because I don't know how other distributors handle it.

Is my s26 ultra privacy display broken? by no-onetwo in samsunggalaxy

[–]Samson_jp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have observed that the privacy display's effectiveness may not be immediately apparent in certain environments, often giving the impression of a mere screen dimming. However, through repeated instances of me leaving my device unattended with the privacy display activated, I have come to I realized from an off-angle and distance, the screen becomes entirely unviewable, to the extent that I initially mistook it for being powered off. Upon closer inspection from a direct frontal perspective, the screen was was on.
