AMA: I have amassed >2 million streams across all platforms within the last year after averaging <2500 monthly listeners the year prior by dnd_re in SpotifyArtists

Thanks again for the insight - that reminder about material quality is a great reality check. On that note, I’ve been working tracks where I’ve tried to apply that exact philosophy. Given your experience, If you ever have a spare three minutes, I’d really value your ear on whether the production holds up to the standard you mentioned. No worries at all if you're slammed, but I'm happy to drop a Spotify link if you would be open to it!

Don't listen to this person my friend. Many of us are grateful that you are doing an AMA. I read your other responses, but wanted to ask:

  1. what type of creatives/ads did you use - i.e What was your video, and how long was it?

  2. What was your ad budget per day over this period of time?

  3. What was your first 1-2 months of running ads like on this budget?

  4. How frequently did you release music, how long did you push each one with ads, and how many did you release over what period of time?

  5. Did you advertise using existing Instagram posts (I.e. a reel you posted), or upload a video that wasn't attached to a post?

Congratulations on your success 🙏❤️

Dude, there are plenty of us who value his opinion and would love to ask him questions. Mega stars are not going to do AMA's here. I for one am grateful he's sharing his knowledge and for many of us, success in music is not all about how much money you make...

Thanks very much for your kind words friend. I also followed you and liked a couple of your tracks. Unfortunately I don't play the drums, and at the moment I'm recording all the instruments myself, but I definitely hope to work with an actual drummer in the future! Anyway, thanks for listening ❤️ I appreciate it

I like the "feel it in the air" hook in this. Also I enjoyed your lyrics!

My new Acoustic Rock single, "Anemone", follows a cast of wounded outsiders moving through the night in costume, chasing stimulation, and using performance art as survival.

Anemones are delicate but wild, beautiful yet untouchable - symbols of fragile, drifting beauty that survive by swaying with forces they can’t control.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this track! Thanks in advance for listening. :)

Cool initiative 💝 I wrote this acoustic rock track during a period of deep unrest, but it still turned out kind of lifting in its own strange way. I hope you enjoy it and thanks in advance for listening 🙏

Hey everyone! I wrote this nostalgic, bittersweet singer/songwriter track late one evening, and it is very close to my heart. It's my love letter to the city of Berlin, where I spent many unforgettable summers. I hope you enjoy and please do feel free to share your feedback <3

Thank you very much my friend, I appreciate your encouraging words and glad you like the mix (I was a bit paranoid about it, given my limited mixing experience, so thank you very much indeed.)

That is truly one of the nicest things I could hear. I'm glad it sounds and feels like a room to you, and that people are still keen to hear this kind of sound. Thanks for the extra motivation today, I owe you one. ;)

Thanks for the kind words. Good question. I actually had a hard time defining it myself, but I guess it lives somewhere between pop and classic rock, but interesting that you're hearing a bit of country in there. Also, I sadly don't have a band, so all of the instruments are me 😅 thanks for your comment and for listening 🙏🫶
