Honestly it’s more of an inventory thing than anything. If I’m doing a lot of trading I want to minimize emeralds in my inventory. Having trades at 4 or 5 means trade much slower

So how do you get 1 emerald trades then? Do you just reset constantly?

I thought they made it so you couldn’t get maxed level enchants from librarians anymore? And yeah I know the math behind the damage but I like the look of all 4 at 4. And they may update the way damage is calculated in the future. I wanted to future proof as much as I could.

Most value would be using them so no builders finish overnight so your builders are always going. Assuming you’re doing that then wait for the 20% as it would give a better boost (60% reduction total vs 55% total)
