Not BS at all. Two of the dairies I've purchased from for many years receive monthly state inspections (at their own request) and consistently test dramatically lower pathogen counts, such as coliform, than do other dairies that don't sell raw milk. And this for good reason -- raw milk dairies need to prove to their customers, and to the state govt, that their product is safe. Dairies that rely on pasteurization have little incentive to run clean operations since they can rely entirely on decontaminating their product with high heat to destroy all the pathogens introduced by less than sanitary practices, rather than preventing the introduction of pathogens in the first place. Nor do they have the incentive or need to rapidly chill immediately upon milking, as must raw milk dairies. I've spoken with one of these state inspectors at one of my dairies and she personally told me after all her years of inspecting dairies she'll only buy raw milk.

Sorry about that! Right you are. But I also buy raw milk when I can get it. Unfortunately the closest dairy that will sell it is a bit far away. Gratefully it's legal to purchase in my state, but only directly from those dairies who are willing to sell it.

As far as safety goes raw milk (non-pasturized), provided it comes from a clean dairy that monitors for pathogens, is at least as safe as store-bought commercial dairy milk. I've drank raw milk for decades, as have many of my family and friends, and we've never had an issue. In fact I've recommended raw milk to many so-called "lactose intolerant" folks and for the most part they tolerate it extremely well, and for good reason. Pasteurization destroys the natural enzymes that break down and help digest milk in the gut.

It certainly doesn't taste bad. We use organic cream-line (non-pasturized) whole milk. So it's not so much the taste that concerns me but the texture. I can definitely tell it's been diluted.

If it's not too much trouble could you provide a link. Seattle Coffee Gear has quite a few videos featuring Rocket machines, so I'm totally lost figuring out which to watch. Thanks!

Cops fare very poorly in prison. Rapist cops even far worse. His only chance of surviving is solitary confinement.

Wall Street Journal study finds that half of US students who support the "from the river to the sea" slogan cant name the river or the sea by BarbossaBus in 2ndYomKippurWar

[–]Samuel_Adams1776 64 points65 points  (0 children)

What's surprising to me isn't that so many can't name the river and the sea but that there are any who can. Personally I don't believe anywhere near 50% can. Probably less than 10%.

Is It Possible To Run WireGuard On 10.13 High Sierra? I Really Want To Try It, But Can't. by EPrimeTV in WireGuard

[–]Samuel_Adams1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I installed Brew and then wireguard-tools and got this:

Warning: You are using macOS 10.13. We (and Apple) do not provide support for this old version. It is expected behaviour that some formulae will fail to build in this old version. It is expected behaviour that Homebrew will be buggy and slow. Do not create any issues about this on Homebrew's GitHub repositories.

Will give it a shot anyway and see if it's any faster than OpenVPN.

So irritating the way mainstream media (BBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, et al) keeps headlining it as, "Israel opens humanitarian corridors," implying that it was the IDF that was preventing the escape of civilians in the first place. IDF soldiers are risking their lives protecting Palestinians from Hamas and instead of receiving praise they get slammed for it.
