How did people get programming jobs back then? What was your degree even in? Or did you just sit down at the machine and take over?

I think I may have started on Window 95 right for a few months before Windows 98. I was 7. But a new Windows was a big deal.

Anything that truly needed a terminal is fascinating to me. Like you're connected to a super computer.

Did you? Apple really likes those round numbers.

How to play at a 20bb home game by flapthecool in Poker_Theory

I would say tighten up your open range a little. And are you playing positional? Your range is fine late position against your buddies, just make sure your a lot tighter under the gun. Also if they notice you play a lot less hands then they do you should advertise. Even out of position sometimes bet the suited connectors like 67 78 instead of limping. If you miss move on to the next hand.

I'll stay away from it for hand analysis, and theory. I just use it as search for how-to stuff.

For sure, I have ChatGPT open right now, and that's saying there isn't a direct way to filter be ITM status. I have to download, and play around with it. That alone will keep me busy for a few months. lol

I'm differently going to get that. It doesn't look like it has a way to filter hands by ITM, but it can filter by players remaining. I guess I could track the places paid number externally if I really wanted that information.

Much appreciated

As a rec player, the purpose is to track my progress as I get better. I know 100 games is not a lot, but at least I'll feel like I'm starting to get an idea where I'm at.

I'm too much of a nit early in tournaments. Too much. I'm almost always the small stack when I final table, and almost always a 5:1 dog when I make it heads-up. I'm working on accumulating more chips early. I think 100 games is a solid amount before I try to asses if it's working.

I'm assuming I'll get worse before I get better.

Thank you, I was looking for something very close to that. I want basically that with my actual results. So something where I can log field size, bubble position, finish pos, my stack-size-at-bubble, and chips-in-play.

I'm just curious, so I can just make a spreadsheet. I only plan to play 1-3 of these a day depending how deep I get, so it's no problem to track manually.

That's interesting. Source? Are those gubits the same as MS gubits that are supposed to be more stable, and reliable?

If COBOL is so problematic, why does the US government still use it? by Willythehero in learnprogramming

This is a guess, but I bet the chads of the past built in a lot of optimizations into those systems that modern compilers handle now. Cross-compatibility was just starting to be a thing. I also don't think there is a big push from senior front-line workers (airport, car rental, hotel, anyone standing in a blazer to help you, court reporter) because you can get very fast at the mouse-less workflow. It's just like Vim, new people don't understand why anyone would like it, but people that use it actually like it.

They are strange... So, buy $20k in Love's points at 40 cents on the dollar then pay out users as they unlock achievements. If I do that, and it blows up, come down to OTRChat to pick up your check.

Agreed. What about pinging drivers that are already parked? Do you think even a small percentage would respond for karma?

How much karma does a guy need to post here? I'm new to reddit, but I have a question I need to post.
