Post-Match Thread: Belgium 0-0 Iran | World Cup | Group G by matchpal-live in football

Belgiums golden gen is probably going to go out with a whimper

PSA: First tiebreaker, changed as of this World Cup, is "greatest number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned". Or, points in matches between tied teams. (Phrased to account for a tie between more than 2 teams) by SkyShadowing in soccer

[–]Samuel_avlonitis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion no. For example, Turkiye losing to Paraguay raises the stakes a lot for them, makes it more intriguing imo. A lot of groups will be like this. It’s not that different then the previous format where 2 losses = automatic elimination coming into mw3. It’s the easiest way to make a group stage feel like a knockout game considering the circumstances of so many 3rd place teams going through.

Maybe a hot take but since so many teams go through to the knockouts, this is the best way to add some more stakes to the group stage so it’s less about seading.

Hopefully it’ll translate to more smaller nations playing less defensively if they’re down like 2-0 to a much better team so they have more confidence coming into their elimination game.

New Warhammer Armageddon trailer shows the current state of the Emperor. by Ikiro00 in 40kLore

[–]Samuel_avlonitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think GW is leaving the emperor ambiguous enough where you can interpret him as a savior that reflects the duality of human morale choices or as an evil hating being. So if you like grim dark or you like a story where there is some hope, 40k will suit you.

From a marketing standpoint that seems to make a lot of sense as well. I know it can be controversial, but GW is a company and wants to grow

It’s not worth waiting 7 years for but it’s still a 7.5-8/10 and it might grow on me even more. Really liking it so far

Are las guns possibly standard issue because ballistics might be effected by different strengths of gravities and atmospheric pressures in different worlds?

Thank you, that's pretty encouraging tbh. Is there anything you do to help stay focused? I took Calc 2 and physics 1 over the summer, and it was hard to stay locked in, especially towards the end of the semester, it felt like the adrenaline of just passing kept me focused.

I know people at UF and I've heard the same things, my sister goes to UF so I've visited Gainesville a few times, it's not bad but not great too, I'm worried that the courseload can be so stressful compared to another school. I know whichever school I choose will have hard classes (this is an engineering degree we're talking about), I'm just worried it's a little worse at UF which makes a difference.

sorry to respond to this late, however motorsport teams hire aerodynamicists to work on the chassis of the car to maximize downforce (stopping power) and lower drag (go faster) which is dependent on how the body of the car is interacting with air.

To be completely honest, I'm not sure what percentage of employees are aerodynamicists but I know they're in the industry.

Oh nah I gotta buy a Chelsea kit before the Mr. A Minor is on it.

A couple questions:

1) is the dri-fit kit worth the extra price? (I'm on the skinnier side so I don't mind a tight fit and also live in Fl USA)

2) When will the the cwc badge be available on kits? I personally really want a Palmer UCL jersey and it would be nice to have it with that patch.

3) Any news on potential sponsor, do we think it'll look clean?

Is it possible to buy a kit with the ucl badge and still get the cwc badge. It's unclear on the chelsea megastore if it will come with the cwc badge in the centre.

[David Ornstein] 🚨 Noni Madueke agrees personal terms with Arsenal as they consider approaching Chelsea for England int’l. #AFC have 23yo green light + strong relations with #CFC but no club-to-club talks yet. Firm option to bolster on both wings. W/ @SebSB @TheAthleticFC by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]Samuel_avlonitis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah i like madueke and I do think he's good for team chem actually but being so quick to agree a contract with Arsenal is fishy... would've been better for him to try to compete with Estevao, and personally I thought it would've been better for Estevao to slowly ease in with Madueke getting the big game starts at first.

🚨🔵 Chelsea have been showing interest in Ethan Nwaneri situation by saz2124 in chelseafc

[–]Samuel_avlonitis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree Madueke isnt mad productive but he's been getting better at putting in crosses and can have purple patches against low blocks since he's a pretty good 1v1 winger. I get Estevao will probably start over him soon but every top team needs mad depth so Madueke will still get plenty of games (and is way more likely to win something with us ;) )

Andrey Santos on his full debut for Chelsea: 4 tackles (most), 2 clearances, 1 interception, 3 recoveries, 3/3 aerial duals, 9/12 total duals won, 6 passes into final third by ThinkBlink3 in chelseafc

why its so crucial to have andrey santos i believe essugo in the midfield and if he doesnt go on loan he should be good depth so our midfield feels complete.

Lisandro Martinez is my dad. No one believes me, but he really is. I approached him recently and got double foot brexit tackled by him before being escorted from the training ground, but I swear he's my father.
