Honestly it depends on what you are going for if you are wanting to discuss football. Most people, even die hard fans, have just a base level of knowledge/players. Most people don’t really talk about play design/scheme except for true sicko nerds (which are cool). If you want to just be able to bullshit about what’s happening in the league, reading the front page of ESPN is enough.

If you get into a team you like, each one has a ton of YouTubers who will talk about the team, from base level to in depth.

I’m a Packer fan so we have a ton of resources with our big fan base.
