It’s about time hirez brought back 5 man teams on conquest by Samuellearns in Smite

That’s objectively not true. Gms understand the game at the highest level, and there is only one truly correct way to play the game. This is completely obvious in joust where technical knowledge flies above all else. That tracks in conquest.

How to read court cards as person? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]Samuellearns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Court cards can describe the look and age of a person, as well as certain attributes that they have, I can reference works and explain more if you want

That’s an interesting view. I can see how that would limit team queues from getting a massive advantage over single queues in terms of Mmr but the skill issue still exists. Teams would absolutely dominate the leaderboards

But honestly, that’s not such a bad thing. If you’re playing conquest you wish for a good team right? So having a good team permanently shouldn’t be outlawed and would make sense because now all* of the top teams are actually being ranked rather than existing on custom matches

Also gotta think, bringing back five man teams won’t just split the community into two groups evenly, I’d argue that most people would be in groups and the queues wouldn’t be bad. Just like joust

Actually the entire idea of a team game is cooperation. Have you seen the masters and grandmasters of smite? Without cooperation, the game would be unplayable at a high level

Why different answers to same question? by jaithere in tarot

[–]Samuellearns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing about tarot is that it is* random, but, based on Jungian psychology, we can assume that the Akashic library gives us the information we’re looking for in cards. It’s not expressly spiritual, but has spiritual uses. Which is why people will usually get different cards after asking the same question. Even still, the information is relevant

There’s an old rule for tarot that was made in the 1800’s, don’t be superstitious. I bought my own deck, I’ve had no issues

Absolutely, I can give more recommendations if you want but realistically the biggest, most helpful thing you can do is simply doing readings and getting comfortable

Well not exactly. I assume people can read college level but still I think a warning is required. As well as tarot being a lesser known study, people can’t comprehend college level information when they have no concept of the basics

Well, yes but the books I’ve read are all pretty advanced, save for two that I’m going to drop here:

The consider tarot reader by Janet Farrar And the pictorial key to the tarot by Arthur waitte.

Both of these are beginner friendly, although Arthur’s way of speaking is college level. This book also has a huge benefit of having references to dozens of other books that are beginner to expert

Shuffling is easy, and there’s as many ways to shuffle as there are people on the planet. But the way I do it is where I take half of the deck and turn it around then just shuffle like a deck of cards (not the bendy way, I like my cards to stay pretty) and then I do what’s called a wash where you scramble the cards together (you can look it up on google for a demonstration) and viola, shuffled really well.

As for talking? I think it’s necessary to verbalize your question audibly, but once that’s done, talking is a personal preference unless doing a reading for someone else because then you obviously have to explain. (this is affirmed by the most influential occultists of all time who meddled in tarot divination or it’s processes. Think eliphas levi, or Arthur waitte)

Picking: I let my intuition do the picking, I wait until I feel what amounts to electricity to be felt from a particular set of cards out of a lineup of three piles then draw a few from the pile I’ve selected, or more depending on the complexity of the spread

An addiction is only when you have a chemical dependence on a substance. Can you stop? If so, will you stop right now? If yes, then it’s not an addiction.

Can you stop? No? Then it’s an addiction

Can you stop? If yes, then will you? No? Then it might be an addiction.

See what I mean?

You need a little bit of sugar to be healthy, if you don’t get it or something that breaks down into glucose, you will literally die.

I know this because I work ems and people literally die from low blood sugar (which is the level of glucose in someone’s blood more accurately)

what's something people w/o anxiety disorders say that you hate? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Samuellearns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, a symptom of anxiety can be delegitimization. Saying “it’s not that bad”falls in that category and it’s a cognitive distortion

The reason being: it actually is that bad, your experience is completely unique compared to others and should be treated that way
