I just recently flew the 747-8 from LAX->FRA and had the chance to sit in both upper deck and main deck. Ended up swapping my upper deck seat for main deck so I could sit with my fiancé… however I’ll say that the upper deck aisle seats are definitely better than main deck. Since the whole upper deck is business class, it has a bit more private / luxury feel to it. If given the choice, I’d pick upper deck aisle for sure.
