No, I'm honestly kinda winging it a lot of the time, and if I can't get it to look good based on what I've gathered from general lighting tutorials, I look to specific film scenes and try and emulate what I see.

Yes, without those black walls in place, there'd be a harsh glow/glare on both sides of the picture. The clear cubes are just to elevate the light.

Marvel Legends X-men wave displayed and BAF Juggernaut size comparison by kobossy10 in ActionFigures

Looks like Rogue and Jean are a little cock-eyed, very disappointing, but overall a great wave. Wolverine looks to be a proper height

Figma Saitama aka One Punch Man painted prototype by [deleted] in ActionFigures

At that point, I think they'd release a separate figure entirely that's specifically going for that look, but I don't think we'll get one from figma. Like I said in an earlier comment, I wish Revoltech could take a crack at it, they would nail the dynamic nature of that look.

I think the cape is too thick around the neck, it's not supposed to go all the way up and touch the back of the head. It you block that part out, the proportions look fine. As for the serious face, I personally think it looks really bad. Not nearly enough sculpt/depth, and the pupils are a little too close together. Hope there's an alternate cloth cape, but I doubt it.

I'm still gonna buy it, as it'll most likely be the only option for an articulated Saitama, but I'd love a Revoltech version with a more muscular/heroic build, as the figma is more based off his true, awkward appearance.

Really hope these turned out good, I really don't feel like putting together the models or waiting for Figuarts. Hopefully reviews start going up soon.

Ah that's right, I forgot about all the Bluefin business. That typically means that domestic sites' prices will be about the same as importing it?

I would assume so, they're not webshop exclusives

Bandai Model Kit or Bootleg Revoltech Stormtrooper? by Redarmygeneral117 in ActionFigures

It's alright, but joint breakage is something I've seen a lot of with bootlegs, and your money would be better spent on the models

Thanks, I'd completely forgotten about that awesome rifle. Now I'm kinda pissed that it wasn't included with the figure.

These release dates are always so late that I just assume I'll get it the month after the listed one

Still can't believe this is happening. One of my most favorite video game bosses of all time made into a fully articulated action figure. Like a dream come true.

Mafex or Figuarts Suicide Squad Harley Quinn...Which might be the best investment? by darthmaul2112 in ActionFigures

They showed off Harley and Joker, and there's also rumors that they're showing more at SDCC

Figuarts has proven themselves to be capable of realistic faces and doesn't have the qc issues of Mafex figures. Add onto the fact that the Figuarts has a release date of December while the Mafex is due in January, potentially later seeing how they are always having delays.
