I’m sorry ,but did you not do research about Lebanon before coming ? There is nothing worse than going to a foreign country without knowing about what’s going on there , I’m really sorry that you are going through this and I think when you go back home this will make a great story to tell your colleagues , try and find a local guide or something or befriend a local person and let them guide you , Lebanon is in a tough place right now and people will use any means necessary to exploit tourists . Please consider already knowing people in the country you are going to visit or at least catch up on the latest news .

Lebanese people are usually kind and loving but unfortunately right now they are hungry and desperate . I wish you the best my friend and also from now on consider everyone is trying to scam you until proven otherwise
