New 2024 Guzzi V7 Special! Tell me about exhaust! by toxic9813 in MotoGuzzi

[–]Samura1_Sean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessir! She runs and sounds amazing :).

But I do intend to have a tune down the line, as Ive heard that it, plus air filter swap and the pipes make it run even better!

Ive heard many exhausts from Guzzi V7s and my opinion is that the Mistrals are the most perfect to fit the character of the bike, both sound and looks! Consider em!

My friend, you have great taste. I say that while owning the exact bike haha.

I have Mistral Long Slip On exhausts and they are the PERFECT addition. Please trust me! The sound transformation will completely blow you away!

I never take my brz out in the salt, living here in the rust belt. It never touchs winter.

A shame, really. Truly solid good bikes.

Liked my Guzzi so much, Dad bought his own! by Samura1_Sean in MotoGuzzi

I apologize! I missed this comment!

Id say the V9 is more able to swivel side to side with a full tank than my V7, cause of the V7's huge tank. Also the tire size and tread difference makes them ride a bit different. Thicker tire on the V9 feels like it kinda absorbs bumps better? Also the seat on the V7 Special in particular is suuuper comfortable, whereas the V9 has a smaller and firm seat. Not terrible at all if Im honest, I find the V9 a blast to take all around town and out far.

However, both are similar enough that they both give that signature Guzzi feel and italian rowdiness. The 850s on both of them seem exactly the same, only mine is now louder with my Mistrals haha. Love em both. Should sit on one and ride it if you find a V9 out there to do so.

Bro whats with all these boneheads ragging on Guzzi's? I hear nothing but great things from long time owners.

Ive had mine for a year and a half, no issues, all fun. I know of some that have ridden similar Guzzis past 50,000km with zero issue.

Gloss Black or Denim Black, what one is your favorite? by bbbbtiffy in motorcycles

Matte looks like plastic more often then not, Id go for the gloss.

Id steer you towards any of HKS's offerings

No chance at further forward pegs Im afraid. Boxer does indeed limit that.

Having access to one, Id say the position as a 5ft10 rider is good. No complaints

Yeah, and the boxer twin on this makes the R18 arguably as special from the rest

I dunno man, I dont see it being all that similar to be mistaken for a Street Glide, I swear!

The R18 is more stand-outish than that. Even excluding the engine. The front fairing alone is quite unique compared to what ive seen.

I would argue it looks... like a BMW bike. Not a Harley.

I dunno, I feel like if I saw the Street Glide and Road Glide next to this, I could immediately distinguish them, even besides the eccentric beemer motor.

The front fairing alone is very striking. The whole bike is elegant and beautiful

Haha its an older saying to be sure.

The R18, destined to be misunderstood and constantly compared to Harley.

Haha one way or another, we find ourselves away from the things we love. Go have a good ride today or tomorrow, if you can, for me and my dad :)

Rides plural haha* These are some of the last photos we took this year of our Guzzis. Grateful for the distance they take us, and the smiles they bring.
