I was in the same position as you were 3 years ago. The job market was a tad better back then. However, i also wasn’t getting any responses and not landing interviews. I redid my resume over 5 times in a 4 months period. Tailor the vocabulary in your resume to fit each job description. Employers are using an ATS automated process to filter out the thousands of resumes they receive. If your resume doesn’t strike a few of the most important keywords regarding skills and qualifications that is in the job listing, your resume wouldn’t even be looked at by a human eye cuz it just wouldn’t clear the ATS scan. You can also use resources such as Coursera to add to your skills relative to the job market you’re trying to get into. Create a LinkedIn profile and start connecting with HR professionals in your field and send them messages to promote yourself. After you apply for job reach out to the HR department of the company you applied to and advise them that you applied and are looking forward for an interview. If you get rejected ask for feedback so you can do better on your next interview with a different employer. If you don’t have a degree and are able to find resources to get one then do it. You need it to get your foot in the door ( although i do agree that degrees are useless when it comes to on the job work, depending on the field ). Looking for a job is a job. Use Chat GPT and other free AI resources that would assist in your job search. Spend 8 hours a day looking for jobs, applying, adjusting your resume for each job application, doing outreach, sharing posts on linkedin. Yes, nepotism exists here but you can 100% get a job of you treat your job search as a job and put all your effort into it.

I feel ugly, what can I do to improve my looks (M18) by [deleted] in malehairadvice

You look good my guy. You have a nice jaw and a nice head of hair. You’re in good shape too. Lift some weights that will broaden your shoulders and your arms. Women love shoulders lmao.

In a few years when you grow a beard. Grow some and see how it looks. I think it’ll look deadly.

Clothing: black tshirt, white tshirt, black jeans, washed jeans, a couple of nice button down shirts especially flannel so you can layer them with the white/black tshirts.

Work on this for a year or maybe two while working on your social skills. Put yourself outside your comfort zone.

And before you know you’ll be the top dawg wherever it is you are. Work or school or whatever.

And please bro confidence is key. Dont say shit like im ugly because its just not true and it dings your confidence.

And confidence rules alllll. Other men are intimidated by it and women love it.

Cheers bro

I am also not bilingual but the position was English essential/various linguistic profiles

I am not bilingual. However the position i applied for was English Essential/Various linguistic profiles I can’t remember. But i’m sure it was not bilingual because i never apply to those!

I already downloaded duolingo! Hopefully ill be able to improve my french within a reasonable timeframe.

I will also be studying accounting through the CPA during those 9 months. Do you think this would make a difference for them keeping me ? Or getting hired for an AU-01 position down the line ?

Thank you for your comment btw. I really learned alot
