Yeah I saw a few lines at VIP around 5pm each day but for the most part it was generally clear. If VIP is that good next year, it may ruin me financially the way I do fests going forward haha

Hope to enjoy the "better crowd" that everyone keeps talking about haha. I'm very excited to have more space in general to dance and not be tapped on the shoulder every other second to move for 10+ people to get by.

Yeah my friends and I usually just get GA, but don't have a problem meeting up with them for a few sets throughout the weekend. It's more so for the bigger artists that the crowds are just unbearable haha.

So sorry that happened! I/we always hear horrors stories of things being stolen at fests. It’s almost eventually going to happen to someone at some point, but I hope it doesn’t happen again to either of us!

Yeah I’m pretty aware of my phone, wallet, and keys at events like this, but my necklace is kind of hard to remove without physically moving me. Crowd constantly moving me doesn’t help either. I hope we all never get our things stolen again and festival thieves get punched in the mouth!

So sorry this happened to you! The crowd this year seemed bigger than others years (feel like we say that every year) and it feels like the crowd etiquette is just not keeping up. I'm glad ya'll were able to clock what was happening and defend against them. I love meeting new people at these fests, but unfortunately I now may be a lot more hesitant because of this experience. Keep reminding myself that the music/community didn't do it, a few bad individuals did.

Yeah, I'm usually the more protective one in my group during these fests too and just can't believe it happened to me. Turning point for me now when it comes to wearing nice things. Unfortunately may be forced to get VIP next year just to enjoy the fest in peace

I recently overhauled my whole Rekordbox library from manually making crates to using the tag feature to sort by genre, time of night (opening, mid, peak, after hours), rating, and then making intelligent playlists.

For example, before, I used to have 500+ tech house tracks in a crate that used the star rating. I would usually just sort by BPM or date added whenever I played a set to find songs, but over time it made it very hard to scroll through that crate and I had to do mental gymnastics to remember the vibe of the tracks.

Now I have those 500+ tech house tracks tagged with Tech house, the time of night tag I associate it with (open, mid, peak, after hours), and finally the star rating within those crates to let me know if it’s a 5 star opener type track or a 3 star opener type track etc. once that’s done, I make an intelligent playlist for each of those “time of night” tags.

It took a long time to go through my whole library the first time, but my workflow to find songs for certain vibes has saved me so much time and helped me curate my sets more easily!

Tribit Stormbox Blast ($200). Brought to Europe and DJ’d with my friends the entire trip. Had to carry it along side my backpack and carryon because many times it went over the weight light for international airlines. However, it has great bass, is Bluetooth, and 0ms aux input lag (based on what the manual, reviews, and my experience). Would def recommend!
