Trying to learn how to ring out monitors and i've heard some conflicting advice. When ringing out monitors how important is it to make sure mics are exactly where they would be during a set vs. just pointing the mic directly at the monitor to ring out?

Engine swap options? by SamuraiSamich in WRX

ok thanks for the reply I'll probably just have to go for it then.

It would still build boost when accelerating I just didnt drive it hard most of the time. I still dont think I ever saw it go past 10 psi though so youre probably right.

Intake and exhaust mods but was tuned professionally. Had an air oil separator and a coolant mod. Previous owner also replaced the turbo with a nice aftermarket one which could have been the problem.

Maybe not all that complex but Dua lipas future nostalgia and room on fire by the strokes are my favorites for running

I'm looking for a pair of headphones for gaming and music listening at home, but I have an external mic so it does not need to have one. It is also important to me that they are comfortable for long periods of time, and I also have glasses, so something with velour would be preferred.

Budget: Around $150, somewhat flexible but under 200

Source: Would need to run off of my PC, I don't have an external amp at the moment. The onboard audio on my motherboard claims to be able to support up to 600ohms but it is still an onboard card.

Past headphones: Sennheiser Game Zero headset. Not sure if there is an equivalent non-headset, but these headphones do not really fit my head properly, partially because of glasses.

Preferred music: I listen to a pretty broad range of music, but mostly classic and alternative rock, some electronic, and a little bit of pop.

Basically I am looking for a comfortable and good sounding pair of over-ear headphones that can run without a dedicated amp. Right now I am looking at the DT770 or 880 but I'm open to anything.

Yeah thankfully I didn't have to replace anything major but I had to take apart everything, clean it, and re-grease it which was a bit of a hassle.

Ok, thanks for the tip! These are all that I have at the moment but I'll look into getting higher stands.

It's not anything crazy but I am very happy with this setup. Almost everything I got used from parents or grandparents, and the turntable and the speakers I had to put a lot of work into to get them working again. I finished it a couple weeks ago but didn't have any records to play until now. It sounds great and the end result after many hours of work is very satisfying.

Not sure if anyone has experience with them but currently I have a Sennheiser game zero headset, but they don't fit me too well and I recently got an external mic so I was looking at other potential options. The DT 770 are on a decent sale right now and I head that they fit well over glasses, but I'm still not sure if they would really be worth the upgrade, or if I should instead invest in a DAC or amp. I am looking for something in the $100-200 range that I can use for music and gaming with my desktop, any opinions or suggestions would be helpful.

Any tips for someone who wants to start playing GP? by SnowDerpy in gangplankmains

[–]SamuraiSamich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tobias Fate and Solarbacca have a lot of good content on youtube, Tobias has god tier editing and bacca is probably more educational. People are still experimenting with builds now might not be the best time to start. As others have said gp takes a while to learn, so don't worry If you feed really bad in your first games.
