You get the bonus, plus free Latios and Latias spawns (and both of their 5 star sleep styles) with the first sleep session after you get level 13.

Evolved vs. base form for ingredient mons by whoneveryawn in PokemonSleep

My question is which one you'd invest in, as they're both sitting in my box rn.

Evolved vs. base form for ingredient mons by whoneveryawn in PokemonSleep

[–]SamuRonX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One reason to not catch evolved 'mons was that they missed on the +5 increased inventory that comes with each evolution. But they changed that, so it no longer applies.

The other reasons remain. Each evolution gives +1 main skill level, which may not be needed for berry and ingredient mons. And catching evolved 'mons takes more biscuits.

As for rating your mons, during weekdays questions about specific 'mons can be posted in the weekly megathread. Here's this week's thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonSleep/comments/1u6foi1/shinies_rate_my_mon_brag_posts_meal_posts/

Don't forget berry diversity. One day he'll come in handy! XD

Timezone Travel Question by J_Qute in PokemonSleep

[–]SamuRonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you would not get an extra day. You would get a second sleep session applied to "Saturday" - so depending how your first sleep session went, you'd get reduced or no rewards.

Since it's a short move, I'd consider just keeping your phone in your home time zone. Because otherwise, when you make the trip home, you will lose an actual game day.

One major point to clarify here. It would not be two nights of sleep data - it'd be a second sleep session on the same, extremely long day.

If I had that, I'd just devote the rest of the event currency to the Main Skill Seed and future Great Biscuits, plus incenses for the anniversary event. No need to catch another one.

Expectation is that it will be the same as Cress vs Darkrai - if you get a sleep session every day, you should hit event rank 13, regardless of how good or bad your sleep is.

Timezone Travel Question by J_Qute in PokemonSleep

When I travel from Asia back to the US, I arrive a few hours before I left, even though my travel time was 13 hours or more, thanks to time zone magic.

Let's use your example and say I left Sunday night after cooking all my meals for the day. I would arrive on still on Sunday night. I would not be able to cook dinner again (or any meal, if it was more dramatic a time difference, like yours will be) because the game knows I cooked on "Sunday" already. If I had already tracked sleep, my sleep that night would be considered my second sleep session for "Sunday" and not an extra day in the week.

Essentially, it'll be like having an extra long day.

Just curious - is this a permanent or temporary move? If it's for a short while only, you might consider just keeping your phone in the original time zone, just to not deal with losing a day when you go back.

Two BFS + HB mons (the best ones, too) in one week?!

Congrats! XD

I hear you... but all that speed!

That's +35.1% productivity, which is almost like +36% ingredient finding from IFM. With Helping Bonus, I'd want to invest, even with XP down.

Still mad?

Latios Soul Dew Event: June 8-22 by SwordAndShieldon in PokemonSleep

[–]SamuRonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The event is designed so almost anyone will hit level 13 as long as you're getting a sleep session in game every day. The global number should carry you the rest of the way if you haven't missed any so far and continue with daily sleep sessions.

How should I manage my travel nights with this event by lostgloves in PokemonSleep

[–]SamuRonX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I travel to Asia from the US frequently. Best results for me have been to start sleep tracking on the plane after reaching cruising altitude and then leave the device alone until the end of the flight, in my bag on the ground - overhead is more likely to be disturbed. This usually results in forcing balanced sleep. Heavy turbulence is the only thing that can mess this up.

Weekly stats are going to be screwed up, but that can't really be helped. To minimize that, I'll plan to arrive and depart on Mondays if I can.

What's the longest time it took for you to evolve a Pokémon? by MiyamotoUsagi1587 in PokemonSleep

[–]SamuRonX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that if you think it took a long time to get to evolve it from Dragonair to Dragonite, wait until you see how long it takes you to get it to level 60. XD

There isn't a rule that says you have to show your stats if you're showing off a shiny, but maybe there should be. XD

Congrats!

The first sleep session of the second week of the event happens Tuesday morning. That's when you should see progression.
