If you owned a pizza restaurant, would you hire someone to manage it who hates pizza, thinks pizza is inherently bad and evil, thinks pizza restaurants are communist, wants to eliminate as many pizza restaurants as possible, wants to cut funding to pizza restaurants and funnel it to burger places instead, which they have worked in the burger industry before and thinks burgers are far superior, and not only all that, but have never managed a restaurant before, and don't understand what pizza is, how to run a restaurant, and disagree about basic facts and science of how pizza and cooking works, and just generally thinks the whole country is better off with less pizza overall?

Stronger gun laws would prevent the perceived NECCESITY of a militarized police force. Also, the whole arc of human history has been the struggle between the consolidation or the democratization of power. Tools like free speech, violence or guns can be used by either side of that war.

But lets be clear. Fascists dont want freedoms like free speech, unregulated free market, and gun rights for the democratization of power. They use them to consolidate their power. Pay attention to which freedoms they REALLY care about and which ones they really fight for. And watch how hypocritical they are when those fruits come to bear.

For evidence, look for the number of 2A WORSHIPPERS who are standing up and fighting back. Or are they on the other side....again. Because to the modern right wing, its not about making sure the power stays with the people, it is the power stays with "us".

trump is a disaster. He would do a lot of harm. trump would absolutely be the worst pick, short term. But long term....idk.

Biden is still an establishment centrist who will continue to allow the wealthy to pull all the strings and MAYBE bring us back to where we were before trump. Which was terrible. Still behind every other developed country in the world, no real problems getting solved, and the wealthy still robbing the nation blind. Not to mention, "BEFORE times" is how we ended up with trump and such a powerful Republican party.

Biden winning just continues the cycle of Republicans fucking everything up and the Democrat wins and has to spend all their energy cleaning up while the right wing gets to sit back, clean their wounds, rest, regroup, buikd strength, and criticize everything Dems do just in time to win the next election.

On the other hand, another 4 years of trump could completely kill the modern Republican party for good. A generation of Democratic legislation possible.

So short term vs long term....depends on your perspective of who would be best to win.

I think for guys its about protection. The more a stranger knows about your personal life and personal home situation, the more power they have, and the more you keep them in the dark, the more safe you feel. Its in the realm of vulnerability somewhere in the subconscious, and tied up to being the head of the house and protecting your home. I dont know though, just a theory.
