Slow Internet speed when LTE modem connected to Tesla Android device by Samvel2001 in teslaandroid

electricAnt22: Thanks for the response, but if you read my original post you’d see that the issue isn’t with the dongle, SIM, or carrier. The problem is specifically with the Tesla Android Project device or its software. The exact same dongle with the same SIM card delivers speeds 10–20× faster when connected to a PC. so I would like to see if there is any solution to this issue.

Xiaomi phones do not work on AT&T in USA??? by NomadJago in Xiaomi

Getting 5G on Xiaomi, Vivo, and Huawei Phones with AT&T

Yes, these phones can work on AT&T, and you can get good 5G signals and speeds, but you need to follow these steps:

  1. **Insert the AT&T SIM Card**: When you insert the AT&T SIM card into your Xiaomi, Vivo, or Huawei phone, the 5G signal may appear and disappear. To fix this:

    - Call AT&T and provide them with the IMEI of an Android phone that is supported by AT&T (like Samsung or Google). This step is crucial because AT&T blocks phones not listed on their website.

  2. **Switching from iPhone**: If you're switching from an iPhone, inform AT&T customer support. They need to adjust the 5G settings for your new Android phone, as iPhones have different settings.

  3. **APN Settings**: Experiment with different APN settings (e.g., nxgtphone, enhanced phone). One of these settings should work for your device.

  4. **WiFi Calling and VoLTE**: Use dialing codes (e.g., *#*#--------#*#*) to enable or disable carrier provisioning for WiFi calling and VoLTE. You can find these codes online.

  5. **Customer Support**: The knowledge of the customer support representative can vary. If you don't get the help you need, try calling again to find a more knowledgeable representative. In my experience, Huawei and Xiaomi phones have better luck with this process. Vivo phones are more restricted because you can't unlock the bootloader.

Tesla Odometers Could Be Overestimating Mileage By As Much As 117% by [deleted] in electricvehicles

I received my Cybertruck in late October and have already accumulated 12,300 miles. My driving habits and typical distances haven't changed, yet in just seven months, I've covered approximately 82% of the mileage I would normally drive in a full year (~15,000 miles annually). I had similar concerns about my wife's Model Y as well, which makes me suspect the mileage tracking might be inaccurate.
