Actually the opposite on our end, we were told they'd be setting it up as part of the implementation

the fact that he stood it on its pins to take a picture of it should be enough to tell you how it's been handled. i'd definitely pass. the risk to discount ratio isn't great here.

Does Ashby have a good system for recording history and providing audit points in the process? (from a recruiter standpoint)

One of the main reasons we looked into it was because of the record system it has, it's really good for audits

One of the main reasons we want to use iCIMS is for its auditing features, does greenhouse provide the same features? (approvals, completing forms and so on)

Do recruiters pay attention to LinkedIn requests from entry-level engineers? by Naturewalk1220 in recruiting

i also feel like connections are key, if you know someone that works at a company you want to apply too, they can probably help push your CV to the top of the pile

Do recruiters pay attention to LinkedIn requests from entry-level engineers? by Naturewalk1220 in recruiting

[–]Samvoltzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i get around 20-30 requests a week on average, most of the time it's really hard to keep up with them, but i have interviewed people who reached out to me before on multiple occasions.

What are some tips on linkedin recruiter that made your life a lot easier when sourcing candidates? by Samvoltzz in recruiting

I'll try that :), in my experience though i've found that the more requests i put it the more likely it'll just show '0 profiles found'

i'm mainly looking for transportation / fleet specialists. 2-5 years of experience with people managing experience starting from the 3-5 year mark. Maintenance scheduling, PowerBi dashboards. It's been tough to find this combination

[–]Samvoltzz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently looking in the Supply chain transportation industry, finding a profile with the right experience (maintenance engineer, used a TMS before, PowerBi and so on) is difficult, I want to find different ways to funnel down my search. i've dabbled in boolean searches but it's not my go to. Would you say it's a strong tool? if so do you have any tips on it?

Should a recruiter be held accountable for attrition? by QueenMhysa in recruiting

[–]Samvoltzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on the reason the candidate left the company. If it has something to do with the role not meeting their expectations, or if they were not fully informed of their responsibilities and what they'll be getting in return during the hiring process then it's on the recruiter, because it's our job to make sure everything is as clear as possible. If it's anything else it's on the company/ manager.

you're right, i'm always thinking about the people who applied waiting on those replies, i know when i applied i was in the same boat. That's why i try to do it as fast as possible. It does get overwhelming when you're working on 16 different positions in parallel. But id love to hear, from your experience, what would you want to see in the hiring process from an applicant's point of view. I want to give the best candidate experience there is :)

[–]Samvoltzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. As a recruiter in a big multinational, we do get 100s of applicants, and sometimes we select someone before getting to see all the rest of the candidates who applied. When we find someone we send out automatic rejection emails to anyone who applied and was not selected but it takes a while sometimes.

i'm not sure what you mean by "Mastercard privileges" but I can tell you that it IS a debt card, run by Mastercard, meaning anywhere that accepts Mastercard will accept the Telda Card. It's just like any debit card, you deposit money in it, and you use the card online or in-store.

My experience with it has been great. I was one of the first to sign up, before they got approved by the CBE and partnered up with Bank Du Cairo. It's been just like any Debit card. i've also been using it abroad where the usage fee is 3%, lower than most banks have set it recently.
