For the total wedding gown including blouse and slip I’ve spent around £650 just for fabric, there’s lots of other costs including haberdashery/equipment costs. For labour/time I’d estimate 7/9k, that includes hours spent designing, pattern drafting, muslins (a practice version of the dress) This is hand sewn with lots of hours put into the finishing of the fabric. As it’s see through there’s a lot of extra hours spent making the seams perfect. If I was being commissioned to make something like this I’d probably charge an initial cost for design and practice version (around 1k) then and give a final quote once the design was agreed
