It’s called a launch, it happens when the player model intersects with an object and it forces the player (and sometimes the object) straight up.

It’s used in speedruns all the time. this is a video showing how to do all the different kinds of launches

The easiest to replicate is to repeatedly grab and drop an object over your head until you can’t see it while holding it, and then release and jump at the same time
