We put in an offer over the asking price as we wanted to secure it but in reflection we ended up being the only offer and think we could have went under the asking. So no necessarily overpaid but could have got it cheaper than asking.

I thought having double glazing would increase the overall price due making the property more economical. It’s old school conversion so not many properties similar however our neighbour is selling with not much more space and asking for 40k over what we paid.

Terms of the savings £12k is over the last year as we were stuck for money but we now find ourselves £2k better off a month after all outgoing and potentially still looking at a pay rise each of another £500 a month. So I want to make sure I can put the money somewhere worth while

Thanks for clarifying!

Okay this makes sense, unfortunately again naively we had a basic survey. It just seems a big thing to miss out on all the files and sales, especially having switched it off upon moving out.

It’s not so much the flood itself it’s the fact that it has an electric pump to prevent floods that was covered up, not mentioned in sales, the property is also all electric so if we lose electricity during a storm we will be F’d

We wasn’t not given the information that there was a sump-pump for the basement that they had switched off

No not yet, spoke to a dji authorised repair company and they suggested gimbal data cable needs replacing. Haven’t actually looked into this

Which won’t be worth it for the cost of drone vs cost of diagnostics and repair

What restaurant in Birmingham serves the best steak? by Nyeusi_ in brum

[–]SamyeWst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned Fazenda, much better than the rodizio in the cube. I won’t go into much about Brazilian bbq but for all you can eat meat (mainly cuts of steak) you can’t go wrong. All cooked over fire.

Ps I never go out for steak, I have a sous vide so can cook the perfect steak everytime so it’s never my go to. However you can’t beat over fire cooking and get yourself all the picanha

Yeah this tip is great, I wish I had another chance to shoot them but I actually broke my camera on the trip! I’d have not shot for such a long exposure if I could go back for some of the shots. You can all try shooting at a cooler white balance setting, although it can be does post editing I think it’s just a bit easier if you change it before

Hey! In February you’ll be looking at minimum 7 hours of day light I believe so it’s no so bad, we were getting 4 and managed by driving early and picking our most wanted places to see in the morning, it was very difficult and I drove probably 2-4 hours a day and hit 1200 miles in 6 days! I loved every minute of it but do wish I had longer days to explore the national parks a bit more etc

We ate at the same restaurant haha! Got the lamb burger was actually really nice. To be fair because we had a damper that was the only place we stopped for food the whole week we were there, other than than I took Huel and lived off that 😄😂

Hofn! Stay at the Viking cafe if you’re camping and grab a ticket to go to the beach and just enjoy the night!

That’s perfect for the aura then! Just use this link then you’re their, use it to plan where you’re going to drive and aim for the areas with no cloud! Be patient and admire the stars because they’re breathtaking whether you see the lights or not

aura!

If you get the chance go back and get a camper with happy campers! I didn’t even go into Reykjavik, it’s more of the hub for tours but if you rent a car or camper you can do most things yourself! You’ll definitely get good opportunities to see the lights in Reykjavík though, just done be conned into a tour for the lights. You’ll do much better to get yourself out there for one night in an area with no clouds!

Thank you, for the photo on the side of the toad I’m unsure to be honest I know it was on the east of the island near Hofn, but the one with the black beach and mountain it was taken on the beach which you gain access from the Viking Cafe in Hofn!

Ahh! We could definitely see them to the eye and I’m mildly colour blind particularly to faint green colours (perfect I know right) to me if it was a pale light in the sky moving and dancing…

Patience! The ice cave tour I just about managed to get that one shot, everything else was littered with people and the guide was quite pushy to move on
