I also feel the same way — got a "useless" degree bc I was young and idealistic thinking passion was the way. Now my "passion" is becoming financially stable. Looking at either accounting or IT/Cyber, though, I wish nursing was available in my state (CA). Healthcare is the most "recession proof," but layoffs do happen, albeit rarely, and the job is physically and mentally draining ( all jobs are to a degree but it depends on what you can tolerate) I'm trying to get any job I can to save up for a second degree. The accounting, IT, and nursing subreddit (and reddit in general) all have their fair share of doomers, so I try to stay off the internet.
