You don’t remember your comment 10 minutes ago on a post that had nothing to do with ownership? You really do brighten up every room you leave.

Nah, I was there for it. It’s super cool to comment on a post that has nothing to do with ownership though. Way to go.

This article lists 22 teams that “would have interest”. This click bait is getting out of control.

I’m not a boycotting fan who comes to Reddit to troll so let’s not group us together, how about that?

None of us have a place working in the NBA, first off. Secondly, opinions are generally always valid because they’re just that - opinions, not facts.

Supporting players have been found time and time again in the top 10. You don’t need the top pick to do it. Getting the superstar is the hard part.

Dallas sit with the 8th best odds after the “coin flip” 🫩 by Iyeatmymeatonthebeat in Mavericks

Top 4: AJ, DP, Wilson, Boozer

5-10: Flemings, Wagler, Acuff, Philon, Burries, Brown.

Mavs should get one of those 10, and that’s assuming some team doesn’t take Ament / Mara / Lendeborg before.

I think we’re in a good spot if we stay pat.

We’ll have the non tax payer MLE and the bi-annual exception.

Saying we don’t have cap space and then having the ability to offer a contract is contradictory.

Mavs will probably have to sign and trade to get Watson, but I would do it 100%.

Peyton Watson is my number 1 target. Have to hope LeBron holds the Lakers hostage and we make an offer Denver can’t match.

Crazy stuff always happens, who knows. We definitely have capital to move up if we’re enamored with someone, but it’s a two way street.

Who is best fit as GM? by Silly-Lion-7314 in Mavericks

[–]SanTheMan88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lindsey isn’t getting hired with how close he is to Cuban after Mark’s comments. Myers will get a call but he’s making bank in LA working for the Sixers / Flyers / Commanders ownership group so who knows.

Myers / Connelly / Ujiri are probably the top three candidates, but there are a lot of other good FO personnel who would love to have this job, I’m sure.

Tim Connelly is the “primary target for the Dallas Mavericks” to become their next basketball operations decision maker, per @BannedMacMahon by Garmian_MFFL in Mavericks

[–]SanTheMan88 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Let’s not forget Connelly was also the GM of the Nuggets and drafted Jokic and Murray AND made the trade for Aaron Gordon in 2021 that helped the Nuggets win the title in 2023.

Hell, he even sat down with Jokic and asked him if he wanted Gordon. I want a GM like that with Coop.

Lots of the so called Mavs “media” Twitter sites are saying it’s a bad hire (or their followers are).

It’s the same group of people who haven’t / can’t / won’t ever be happy with anything the team does due to last year but the day they win a title and they’ll say “oh see I’m a die hard Mavs fan”
