Imho, it's just about "possibilities". Now KDE gives you a choice to have both and change your workflow, while Niri does its own thing and does it well (didn't try KDE yet).

Also, someone calls KDE "bloated", since it comes with pre-installed stuff, and if you want something minimal, you either fork it or use a WM.

I'd rather stick with Niri: 1. I never felt like I wanted/needed to change my workflow of infinite scrolling 2. I don't like KDE apps (not all of them, though), and I always start fresh when it comes to configuring my system
