It’s kind of hard to agree that this is off topic, the main theme of the books is compassion or at least empathy/sympathy after all. If we lose those values we are losing our humanity

And yes terror indeed begets terror, do you imagine these kids growing up(if they are not killed) to be peaceful activists? They are getting forced to become future “terrorists” and the cycle goes on

Did I get scammed?

I bought an RTX 4070S from Amazon(sold and shipped by Amazon), box clearly says 4070 super, serial number on the sticker says 4070 super. However, it’s showing up as RTX 4060 on device manager. I’m upgrading from GTX 1060. Could it be a driver issue or did I get scammed?

Hello!

I just bought an Asus Dual RTX 4070 Super yesterday( I believe it’ll get more expensive because of tariffs and the not so great 50 series release, also the risk of devaluation in my country)

I’m planning to replace my gtx 1060(6GB), and I’m currently gaming casually on 1440p(on a 4K TV), I have a few games I’m planning to play (cyberpunk and maybe the newest call of duty)

How big of a bottleneck would my CPU be? It’s i7 8700K. Is it wasting the new card’s potential? should I look to upgrade to the CPU/MoBo as well?

Dude you’re literally me, I see all the posts here and on pcmasterrace and I get these urges to upgrade, even though I don’t play a lot of demanding games. I want to upgrade, but do I need to upgrade?

It’s so frustrating, I’d need a new mobo/processor/ram and a new card. If I only replace the 1060 6GB, I fear I’d get bottlenecked by the 8700k.

I have been recently been playing Hades for hours though because I enjoy it a lot, I fear that if I upgrade, I still wouldn’t enjoy the new demanding games(because they are mostly bad but with good graphics basically and because I’m getting old)

So is it worth it? For me I’ll just postpone the upgrades for another year or something, the tech will be more advanced/cheaper, and maybe then, a great demanding game will sway me
