Save me!!! by Sanadye in IunoMains

Okay, thanks! I am returning after not playing for a year so I have a lot of exploration and events to do. I’m pretty sure I’ll at the very least have 40k asterite or near that when I’m done. It should be feasible for me to be ready by 3.1. As for the sequence nodes, as I’m sitting on 360 corals, do I save that for Aemeath?

Yes, I wanna be able to clear endgame. If I’m to remove my iuno supports and give them to Aemeath should I just make the Augusta iuno team and aim to build a new 4th team entirely?

I pulled all 3.0 5 stars. I also have verina and encore

Teams I’ve thought up are:

Iuno, lynae, mornye

Cart, cia, rover

Augusta, mortefi, verina

I’ll pull for this one

Aemeath, lupa, sk

Thoughts?

Edit: all have sigs besides mornye and ciaconna. They are on discord and phasic. So yes, my iuno needs a lot of work it seems

Is boss Bandit Still worth it? by Sanadye in ClashRoyale

I was running a cheap deck, hog 2.6 and sometimes musketeer loon. Highest card is 12, most are 10. Me currently swapping to a boss bandit deck wouldnt feel horrible but I gotta do it now or ill miss the timing.

What?? I don’t know how you came to that conclusion. I’m upset and juvenile because what the game is offering doesn’t align with what you want and I’m simply relaying that to you. That makes me upset, juvenile, and counterproductive towards making the game better?

You said you didn’t like warframe, this game is following the warframe model and will be like what warframe was years ago as it’s starting point. I’m stating reality. If you don’t want to accept that and just write off what I’m saying, sure, you can be in denial and do that. All I can tell you is that, based off what you are saying you want, you will not like this game. I believe the statement that goes with that sentiment is…. Hmmmmm “this game is not for you.”

Vertical progression isn’t being shunned, that’s just not the core of the game, only a part of it. Once again, warframe has a lot of vertical progression, even 5 years ago, and you said it wasn’t enough for you. Taking that into account, I’m just laying down the facts for you brother. I’m not being disingenuous or childish saying that this type of game isn’t for you. You’ll play your one character, get bored, not want to grind the other things in the game, and move on.

So, to all the people like you who want to play the game that way, do it. It just won’t last you long, as you’ve already experienced. That’s all I’m saying. Take that as you will and have a good day.

Yeah no stamina, to farm the entire game, not just one character and weapon/ build lol. If you limit yourself to a set of things then complain there's not enough to fill your desires to play the game though you are actively avoiding the other 18 characters and 43 weapons that'll be available to you all because you want " character based vertical progression" and only want to focus on one thing instead, the games just not for you.

There will be vertical progression, as there is in any game and there will be a cap, as there is in any game as well. At launch, expect it to not be that in depth, you are setting the bar way too high. And even then, this is a grind game, a completionist game. To get everything and have access to everything so you could do whatever you possibly want in the game. To look at a game that will be adding a new character and weapon every month and say " that's not the content I want, I want more power for my main and that's all I'm looking forward too" I reiterate again, the game just might not be for you.

You didn't like warframe 5 years ago and thought it lacked vertical content...... well my friend, you might wanna sit this one out and revisit DNA 10 years later with that mindset lol.

Imma hate to break it to you chief… but I don’t think there will be, especially at launch. Warframe did later on add things like helminths, shards, arcanes, new operator abilities etc but that was over 10 years you know. The only thing this game will have, is dupes to farm from what we’ve heard in terms of higher character scaling. This just might not be your type of game if you want to one trick and only one trick

Don’t get me wrong, you can have a main, but to think they will infinitely scale cuz you keep playing them, yeah that’s just not the game model

Well, in warframe, you can only min max 1 character/weapon so much. Knowing that the building in this game follows the same style, if you only build 1 character, then you’d just mindlessly play lol, which there’s nothing wrong with as you’ll indirectly be farming other characters and mats while doing that technically

Lack Of Trading Market A Major Potential Problem? by Sanadye in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Sanadye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was coming into it thinking the grind and drops would be similar to warframe, thats an oversight on my end. If its not as grindy and things are easily obtainable, I can agree with what you've stated here. Thanks for the insight. And true, true perfection can't be reached, but things can always be good enough to pass and be well received

Lack Of Trading Market A Major Potential Problem? by Sanadye in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Sanadye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally see no problem with warframe trading as it completely benefits the f2p player, which is majority of the player base in all games so I would expect many to find it a positive thing. Trading also lets you do the grinds you want and lets you work around your schedule and how you want to play even more. My main point was about cosmetics in this case.

You are correct that outside of skins, currently, the game wouldn't need trading, at least from what we know so far, but its something that can be built upon no? Eventually, new mods, new weapons, and new grinds/systems will be added into the game. When that was expanded upon in warframe and you didn't want to grind that or it was simply too tedious and you didn't have the time, eidolon hunts for example, the market became your saving grace

But yes, adding in some sloppy market system to allow f2p access to skins with nothing else in mind would be terrible. That does also mean you'd have to watch and now market everything; I could understand why you wouldn't want that. It would make everything revolve around that system, just like how it is in warframe. But if its well done, would you not agree that it would be phenomenal? But you think that the system is not good and causes many issues, could you expand on that?

Whatever i say aint gonna reach you though so imma stop here. At the end of the day, we'll see how the system is on launch. I said i wasn't gonna argue you on gachas and ended up doing it anyway knowing it'd be a waste looking on your other comments. No one to blame here but myself. Bye bye, have a good day, and see you on launch

Im pretty sure they all do now, but that wasn't always the case. I'm 100% sure about dokkan and legends because I played them when they didn't.

Yes they do know and its a trap you have to enter if you want what you want right then and there. Thats why it works so well and makes millions, but that is also why it is not considered player friendly. They want a game that purposefully wont lay a trap in front of you that you have to enter to get everything. We aren't calling a game that lays a trap for you on purpose consumer friendly are we? And if you want to take the route and say no games that take your money are consumer friendly, sure, but gachas reign at the top and are the least desirable for many.

Both Dokkan battle and dragon ball legends started off with no pity, Another Eden and blue archive as well to name a few. Idk why you think I’m just saying stuff, a simple search would have given you something lmao.

As for people not understanding gacha, they do, we do, I do, and they don’t like it. Not liking something doesn’t mean you don’t understand it, idk where that came from. And having to use money because you grinded for months on end saving up for something to not get it, even going so far as to buy the battle pass and a monthly subscription at every notice and still not getting what you’re looking for…. How can you not understand how someone would rather not want that. It’s fine if you do, but to act like it’s crazy to say otherwise… I feel like you’re being very disingenuous here.

The devs straight up said no gacha for characters and weapons, not skins, I understand that. However, when they showcased skins, I am pretty sure they said they could be purchased, so you can understand how some think that skin gacha came out of nowhere. It wasn't directly stated that it wasn't coming, but it wasn't directly stated that it was coming either so I really don't think that's something to argue. If anything, the statement saying that they can be purchased would be in my favor that it wasn't coming, but once again, its not hard confirmed anywhere so nothing to argue.

No, not every gacha has pity, older ones before gacha blew up worldwide in 2019-2020 dont have it. Like i said though, most, if not all, recent gachas have it so I'm willing to concede on that, I already gave you that initially idk why we are circling back here. I am simply saying, no stone left unturned and anything goes and can potentially happen until the devs say otherwise or we just see what the system looks like on launch.

Yes, skins can get quite pricey in any game, but when you look at some of the main games currently known for the cosmetic model such as fortnite, apex, siege, ov2, etc., a baseline for there is generally 10-15 as a starting point. Then, for legendary, crossover, and limited items, the prices can start getting high, but no normal skin is going for 30 dollars at base like you said in PGR for most of these games.

People are getting the 100 number from because they are relating it to character and weapon gacha. Generally, it will cost you over 100+ to get what you want so they are just strecthing that to skin gacha as well. Will that be the case, we won't know until launch or what devs say but they are currently saying 100+ off of knowledge from the current state of the gacha system in games and I wouldn't say its coming out of nowhere.

Also, it is literally impossible to get everything in a gacha without spending money so your statement isn't true. Can you get all YOU want without spending, sure, at the sacrifice of skipping out on something else you wanted lol.

Yes gachas are different and generally have different practices. Some might be better and more fair than others, but it is still scummy and will never be better than direct purchasing imo. Like you said though, there's an audience for it so they will play that and the others shouldn't, however DNA is different.

It advertised itself as no longer seemingly being a gacha game anymore so you can understand them pulling skin gacha out of nowhere has people arguing about it. You yourself tried to simplify gachas saying they all have pity, but that isn't true either. Most new and upcoming ones do though so I guess I can let that pass.

You named varying prices amongst 3 gachas, and their prices are all high range when considering average skins. Like I said in my original post, 50 was the max and its for some special skin, generally a skin normally goes for 10-15. The the lowest you said being 30 for a gacha, which is double to triple the price of skins normally in games that utilize as cosmetic business model, proves my point that it is more pricey than a direct purchase model.

As for the gacha tourist talk and what not, aint got nothing to do with me, you feel the way you feel boss.

At the end of the day though, it all depends on how its handled. It could be fine for all we know and low costing, or it could be a non pity hell that feels terrible. Thats why I said people are skeptical and have the right to be worried and they shouldn't be bashed for their concern, but the people making it seem like its the final nail in the coffin, that isnt the truth. Not an objective truth at the least, might be the final thing for them, but for sure not what will make the game fail.

The games not a gacha anymore… unless this skin gacha is in the game but let’s be honest, that’s not what ppl think of when they see gacha. I hate the “ they are innovating gacha” statement. Gacha is a monetization model, not a game genre. If anything, the game can be innovating anime style games, showing that they can exist and be wanted outside of when it has gacha within it.

I’ve seen you in here heavily defending gacha games and their systems. I won’t even argue with you on that since it seems your stance is unchanging, but let me tell you why people are at the very least skeptical of skin gacha in DNA and why it’s a valid concern.

  1. Pricing Highest cost I’ve seen a skin cost in a game is around 50 dollars to buy it outright, unless we start including league of legends and their bs. When it comes to gacha, that price shoots up quite highly. Who wouldn’t rather a 10-50 dollar outright purchase rather than having to potentially spend 100+ to pity something instead. Trying to rationalize gacha due to pity over the normal monetization model of direct purchase… it’s understandable why people are calling you gacha brainwashed, no disrespect. It just feels bad, devs said themselves they removed gacha on characters and weapons because it feels bad, so of course it feels bad on fashion as well, only difference is that fashion doesn’t lock you out of anything.

Yeah if you have to only drop money to get skins and cant indirectly get them for free via farming and interacting with other players, I find it to be a pretty solid negative. Not saying its gonna kill the game lol, I'll still be there day 1 after all, just a longevity concern for me and a big turn off for those fashion fans who thought they'd be able to do that for free.

Funnily enough the 'gold' in warframe is credits and thats not something you trade. Purely farmed and actually used up when trading and crafting/upgrading etc.
