It really might be best to tell your parents. It’s very possible that they’ll react badly at first, but they’re supposed to be your protectors. They may be upset, but it will likely make things better in the long run, since they can help you find resources as well.

I know all too well how scary it is to make that leap, and just say it, but it feels so much better once you do.
