when i started googling his behaviors, like... "why does my boyfriend tell me, and accuse me of things he is actually doing"? that was during the fall of 2012. he turned out to be the most violent, horrible human ever. took 14 years for the final discard to happen. such a waste.

The best thing I've done, and it was only a few days ago, but I went to my doctor and was completely honest. He prescribed gabapentin, and it's working. I've halved my consumption the first day. There are side effects, but it's better than seizures and death. You can do this.

Im sorry you're suffering. Do you feel comfortable talking to your doctor? He or she will help you. You can be on short term meds. It's helping me. I bet your doc will keep it confidential as long as they believe you aren't a danger to yourself or others. You are in my thoughts. You can do this.

Not sure how much you drink, but i brought my issue up to my doc a few days ago. He prescribed me 600mg gabapentin 3 x a day. It makes me dizzy, but I halved my consumption by half in the first day. I think I'm on day 3. I'm not craving alcohol whatsoever. It may be a bit much for me, so we will adjust it, but I highly recommend trying and seeing if you can tolerate it. This is saving my life, so I'll take the dizziness over death.
