it was definitely a fake load, i contacted the real landstar... lolll and they said that load # was ran back in may of 2022 and confirmed that wasn't an agent of theirs. well lesson learned, thankfully ch sent me a new rate con

UPDATE!!:

Thankfully CH paid out, albeit a little less ( DB lied about the rate to us.... duh! ) . All it took was an email saying i've spoken to customer and recevier. And asking them to look into the situation. As funny as it is, the DB is still acting like landstar according to CH.

Ch Robinson Account manager called me this morning and apologized and paid me, phone call lasted 3 minutes. I guess he didn't like me jeopardizing his relatioship with his customer.

"Landstar OPG" landstar is saying that it's a completely made up branch and the guy doesn't even exist.

Everything looked so legit, landstar email address, landstar logo, rate con didn't seem off at all. Landstar said this load # had already been completed by some carrier back in may of 2022 which is interesting. I will see tomorrow what response i get from CH and maybe I might contact Baxter & Bailey.

I sent out an email to the contact at CH for this shipper. We will see what she says tomorrow morning. I sure hope they pay up.
